Amiga 3/4000 flooded, forgotten and found again yesterday

Back in 2010 in my city there was a terrible flood, I managed to save a few things, and unfortunately there were not my amiga 4000 040 and 3000, a few days ago rummaging in the garage I found them (still muddy) and a question arose, are they recoverable? What do you think about it?

If the Amigas were not plugged in at the time, it may be possible but more than likely it would need repairs. Take some pictures to see if the experts here can help.

Depends how long they were in water and if they also were exposed to oxygen at the same time.

Open them up take photos. Look for rust. Battery leakage etc.

It is possible that all they will need is a wash and a long dry afterwards.

Greatly depends, but I would say no given the state of old machines I've found abandoned outside.

Hi, the two amigas have been submerged for three days by water and mud, to tell the truth after the flood I put them in a corner of the garage thinking to throw them away and in the end I had also forgotten to have kept them, arranging the garage then I found, as soon as I have some free time I will try to open them and I will post the photos, i posted two photos of how I found the two Amiga after the flood, you can see below the 4000 tower next to the monitor, and in the upper right corner the poor 3000.

The 4000 mounted the accelerator taken from the 3000 and 3 scsi disks, all in a ful tower cabinet with an ATX power supply that piloted the original one, the 3000 instead worked in its original cabinet, for sure unfortunately I no longer have keyboards, mice and cables

That doesn't look great, but the main boards should be thoroughly washed, rinsed and dried, before it's really possible to say much about their condition.

Submerged for 3 days??? If it was completely buried in mud, it may be saved. If it was submerged in muddy water... then you let it drip dry ... uh... it will be very very tough...

You need to pull it out and check for rust as others have said... at the very least you can donate it for scrap parts...

The motherboards probably will need to run through the dishwasher.

I'm sorry, but my expectation is that they will be rusted to the shithouse and beyond reasonable repair.
