WHDLoad NTSC versions!
This thread is for NTSC versions of WHDLoad games that seem to be rare or hard to find. Most of the games out there will be the PAL variant of the game, since most of you are in the EU.
Carthage NTSC GODS NTSC Globdule NTSC Rocker Ranger NTSC Nitro NTSC Prince of Persia NTSC Lemmings NTSC ArmourGeddon NTSC Double Dragon II NTSC Turrican NTSC MagicPockets NTSC Avail on my upload folder or Retroplay's folder: ftp://grandis.nu/~Uploads/TjLaZer/WHDLoad_NTSC/ More to follow! I've added a few more NTSC games to my folder.
BadDudes_v1.2_NTSC_2425.lha Leander_v2.2_NTSC_2351.lha ShadowOfTheBeast2_v1.3a_NTSC.lha Speedball_v2.0_NTSC_0086.lha Speedball2_v1.0_NTSC_2006.lha Unreal_v1.2_NTSC.lha Unfortunately the SOTB3 WHD imager doesn't like the SPS or PowerCopy images I have. [edit] Your nickname btw, that wouldn't happen to have anything to do with RoboCop would it ? Last edited by Retroplay; 30 January 2015 at 15:08. |

Whdload didn't like my SOTB3 originals either, but I was able to make a working JST install with them long ago.. (in the Zone.. to complete the NTSC beast trilogy)

Im also wondering if most of these games dont have copylocks and use Manual Protection so the originals could be copied back to real floppy with tools like PowerCopy or eADFs made.

Anyone know how to copy these images to real disks? Wonder if we can use emulation and a Parameter copier or something and crack them to ADFs |

Gods NTSC
I just used transdisk -w disk1.adf and seemed to boot entered the code and game loaded etc but didnt do much play testing - i.e dont know if the same copy protection is used = hard version etc but seemed like normal play.

Thanks, I suppose this is a different version than SPS2329 which fails to image disks with current installer ?

I think so, I imaged it with the installer and it worked fine. Also runs in NTSC where the other version hangs after title screen.

Thanks, added.
I see WHDLoad version has three supported versions, none of which is the SPS 0585 or 2480 version. 0585 = Can't start the game, it just keeps looping the intro 2480 = Unsupported |
