Real tape drive in WinUAE

Is it possible to use a physical tape drive attached to a PC with WinUAE? I'm guessing not as I can't find a way to do it - there is, of course, the Add Hard Drive button under CD & Hard drives but that seems to be exclusively for hard drives (the clue's in the name...). There's also Add SCSI/IDE Tape Drive but that's for adding a tape file not a physical device as far as I can see.

Anyway, any pointers would be welcome

Misc panel: SCSI emulation -> SPTI / SPTI + SCSI SCAN might work as long as Windows sees the drive. Should appear as some uaescsi.device unit. Check the log for details.

This option probably has not been used for years...
