recommended A600 ram expansion

ive been doing this as my latest little project/case mod

it wasnt the effect i was looking for but i think it came out rather nice

anyhow ive recently installed a cf 4gig card inside and was looking to expand the ram...mainly for the whdload,and just wondered if anybody had a recommended one.

been looking at the ones on amigakit cant really find any others tbh...

anyway heres my latest 600....the keys are painted with stickers and NOT from a cdtv...hope you like

The only chip ram expansion available are the A604 unless you buy second hand. In that case sign up to Amibay as they're often traded there cheaper than ebay, in fact there is one for sale there now for £15.

As for fast ram you can't go wrong with the aca620 as it gives your A600 the speed boost it deserves.

Kipper2k sells 4mb and 8mb clip over cpu ram expansions much cheaper, he sells here, through Amibay and on his own website :-)

Kipper2k's fast RAM expansion is a must for every A600

It will make your everyday usage so much more comfortable. And give you a speed boost of about 30%.

I'd say go for the ACA620. Gives a lot of RAM and makes the A600 significantly faster (becomes useful in WB instead of painfully slow) and also makes it more compatible with WHDLoad. Not all slaves run properly on plain 7MHz CPUs. The 020 will also make quit key work with all slaves.

Kipper2k's RAM boards gives good value for money, but if you after the upgrade crave a bit more speed, you'll have to toss it aside to make room for the ACA anyway.
