I have plenty of these 30-pins SIMMs (256KB, 1MB, etc.)...
Is there a way/scheme to use them in a homemade chip RAM expansion?
Or to use a 72-pins SIMM (the first MB of it)?

No, but there is a relatively easy Piggy-back technique you can do with two 512Kbyte RAM chips. Google or search this forum for details.

Thanks alexh ,
I know that technique, but I fear to ruin my A600 while soldering the additional chips on top of the ones on the mainboard . The pins are so little!
Ok, I think I'll keep my A600 as it is...

You're right, but it's pricey... a better option will/would be as suggested by you (in another thread): buying a used A1200 instead .
