Gotek F-F need special USB keys?

Got an standard Gotek and put this opensource on it

The Gotek was placed into an old Golem external floppy case, i set the jumper from S0 to S1 to have it running as DF1. Generally the Gotek starts with ---, responds to a plugged in USB key with F-F and 000 later. Pressing the buttons does nothing, it won't boot with Kick 40.63 on the A600 and there appears no floppy symbol on the workbench after HDD boot.

Guessing, there is something strange with the usb key, so here is it's installed stuff on my 2GB key. It does not boot the selector, although i put it into the root.

Okay got it to run so here are explanations for the archive

The opensource give three modes of operation depending on a config file on every usb key you like to use with the drive. Don't mix them up.

Native mode is what you see in majority of videos on youtube, every ADF is accepted and can be changed with the buttons. It only requires a FF.CFG on every usb key you like to use.

External cases with Amiga converter inside, require the Gotek jumper set to S0 because the board itself set the drive number for the amiga.
