One of the best Christmas gift I have ever got was A600 (in 1993). Couldn't have been happier at the time (well maybe except for getting A1200 instead

Believe it was 1990 for me.
Me and my brother both received an A500 each. I had the flight of fantasies pack. I talked my mother into letting me open (what I thought to be an ATARI STFM) it at like 2AM. I then played F29 Retaliator until 7AM and then ended up sleeping most of christmas day. Good times good times. |

Got my A500 in 1989 . I often played Pinball Wizard, Backlash and Pinball Dreams during christmas holidays (for some reason).

Christmas Day 1987 was my starting point. I had asked for a computer - I was expecting a BBC Micro though! I definitely wasn't disappointed with the A500, along with Leader Board, Chubby Gristle and Battle Chess.
The only slight hitch was that my dog chewed through the security dongle that came with Leader Board. Twice. |

Christmas 1993. We were opening our presents when my dad sent my brother into the kitchen to get him socks. We hear a shout of excitement from my brother in the kitchen and rush in to see an Amiga 600HD set up and running on the kitchen table.
I think the first game we played was a hard disk install of Rome AD92, the whole family sat around a portable TV screen wondering where to find "Seamus" the consul. My brother played a lot of a platformer called Myth and we played hard disk installs of Epic and Trivial Pursuit. Nobody realised for a few weeks that we were all holding the mouse upside-down. Christmas 2007. My brother re-creates 1993 for my other brother by setting up an Amiga 1200 in the kitchen and sending him in for socks. He's well excited. Unfortunately, he soon lost his enthusiasm as none of the joysticks worked properly I now have his A1200 and use it to play Knights and Zerberk. xmas 1987, seeing the incredible Arkanoid PAL version with the cracktro from Starfrontiers with the typo in it "Always rember, Starfrontiers, lightyears ahead"
And then there was xmas 1988, playing Operation Wolf, again a very well done arcade conversion. |

I got my Amiga 500 on christmas eve 89 or 90, don't remember exactly. Hard to choose if this was the best christmas or when I got my C64 a few years earlier. Happy times! The year after I got my Amiga I got a GVP 52mb HD which also was a very happy moment, but not quite as good as getting the computers.

'Wild, Weird and Wicked' bundle (late 1992, £349 launch price): Formula One Grand Prix, Pushover, Putty and Deluxe Paint III
That is the exact pack i got, it came with a domed mouse rather then the blocky A500 one i remember from my friends, i played formula one, pushover and putty after christmas dinner and spent ages painting pics and even creating little animations in DP3 putty was hilarious! and pushover with colin curly had me gaming into the small hours of boxing day. edit: also £349 in 92 was ALOT of money my dad would have just been out of probation in GMP at that time my dad rules. |

Hi, i really love the idea behind this thread.
Well i received my Amiga 500 as a christmas present at christmas 1989 ... I still can remember the day, the first game on the new wondermachine (before the amiga, i had a Amstrad CPC 464 with Green Monitor), it was Mickey Mouse. I received my first original game (Police Quest 1) one day later, also a present by my grandmother. It still have some pictures from this day ..i guess i will put em in this thread tonight. |

Christmas 1988 - I had just turned five and got an Amiga 500 with the Batman Pack, with a 'message from Santa' saved on the Workbench disk. I spent about an hour playing Rainbow Islands and managed to get to the first boss!
