What I find really funny is that the Amiga port of this isn't even half bad, even more when compared to some other Arcade ports for the system.
Problem is that the original arcade game is pretty shit. Most of the faults with the Amiga game are also present on the arcade game. |

I always loved how The One previewed it as "The Coin Op conversion of the decade" and then slaughtered it at the review stating the coin-op was a mediocre game too.

they did the conversion from the pc. hence the blocky aspect.....

When you shoot the baddies you'll see that the bullets don't go through the blood spray immediately - it takes a short amount of time until they can. It takes this same amount of time before you can walk through the blood too - or you will die.
It gets quite tough and becomes challenging trying to gun down the waves of clumped baddies...I quite liked it (used to play the AF demo a lot). Not enough to buy the full game though. Like 1985? I wish I had a game half as good as this for my C64 in the 80's. :-) |

It's a bad conversion of a bad arcade game. SNES version is much better and nothing the A1200 couldn't produce.

I think while playing everyone should remember it's just Smash TV with screen scrolling. I have bad memories because as a kid I thought it's Commando/Mercs style game. I still don't like this game but for me it's not complete crap.

I always knew it was Smash TV with scrolling and I always thought it's crap anyway.
Smash TV is a lot more fun to play. And Smash TV is basically Robotron 2084 with nicer graphics.
