Good luck.

The Amiga version of Warp (and many other Thalion titles) was ported to the Amiga by their musician. Jochen "Mad Max" Hippel. The code probably contains lots of left over Atari ST related stuff.

I'm sure everyone knows this but the Thalion intro on Warp (and all subsequent games) has two "secret" parts. Clues to accessing them are in the Warp High Score table.

Typing "schnism" & "aaarrgh" change the tune and make the logo go up and down.

I doubt it will be any harder than Seven Gates of Jambala, unlike other developers that did ST to Amiga conversions, Thalion were the least worst. Certainly looking at the code so far doesn't give me cause for concern.

Here is the way to use built-in cheat. Press and hold one at a time L SHIFT, R SHIFT, H. Release those three in reverse order. A brief green flash occurs. The instant the last key is released a timer is started. You have about one half second to press F5 key. A pale blue flash is seen.

observed so far:
infinite lives
cursor up - advance one level
cursor down - back one level
W - takes you to end of level warp tunnel
T - goes to end of game sequence
L ALT - free subjects from the Myrons

Press HELP produces red flash and turns cheat off or resets keys if you were too slow hitting F5.

EDIT:
L ALT cheat seems to be a smart bomb of sorts. After clearing the screen of flying enemies, no further attacks came from the air. Also destroying any one power station lets you immediately go to the anti-warp generator portion. ( good for level 6 which has 25 power stations )

jochen was here - hidden jukebox

I take it back, there is ST referenced stuff everywhere, stuff that shouldn't be there is executed.

Trying to preserve ST colour registers, not using enough bits to disable DMA and stuff ($3fff instead of $7fff).

Amazed it worked!

That would be why then!

Had to redo parts of the Grandslam and Thalion intros to get them to operate correctly on 020+, I really am amazed the game worked on A500 at all.

Well, its nearly done now, but obviously i've got a lot of bug testing to do as I need to know everything works ok, but the protection was a joke, and the Tarkus Team 'crack' was a joke as well!

Nearly done

That's great. I was absent for a longer time and didn't notice them before.

In case somebody is interested in the Ingame maps: http://thethalionsource.w4f.eu/Artik..._Easteregg.htm.

since you're talking about that, do you mean that this game has the usual ST colors palette bug ?

Tarkus Team releases weren't known for quality, quite the opposite actually! Later (early/mid 90s) they even removed crack intros from other groups and just put their (very ugly!) Tarkus Team ascii there and claimed they had cracked the game... I don't think I need to say more.

BUMP!

I am also looking for a 100% working version of this game.

ADF's or WHDLoad does not matter

edit:

I noticed that the game actually has not crashed once you have destroyed all power stations. Press RETURN on keyboard. This brings up a menu. Exit the menu and you can continue playing. But this does not help you complete the level of course.
