I'm keeping the first page up to date. What's known to exist and still not preserved thus far (with your the most recent contributions that were Zoned or that have been purchased and are en route removed):

AWESOME
Bill's Tomato Game
Nitro
Prime Mover
Red Zone

Also, could you take a look at the white set of Armour-Geddon NTSC? It doesn't even come close to decoding disks 1 or 2.

Will take a look at this either later today or tomorrow.

I will be uploading the IPF of Bill's Tomato Game to The Zone shortly. The game contains the code for protec protection verification, but it doesn't appear that it is called and track 0.1 is not recognized as a a protec track.

T0.0: AmigaDOS Long Track (105500 Bits)
T0.1: Unformatted*
T1.0-79.0: RNC PDOS (Early Variant)
T79.1: Unformatted*
T80.0-83.1: Unformatted
** WARNING: 2 tracks are damaged or unidentified!

Track T79.1 is not used and as I mentioned above T0.1 does not appear to be used either.

The conversion of this looks interesting:

Code:
*** T0.1: Unexpected track length (seen 101464, expected 110000)
T0.0: Psygnosis C - Track 0
T0.1: PROTEC
T1.0: Psygnosis C
T1.1-73.0: Psygnosis C - Custom RLL
T73.1-83.1: Unformatted
Is it because disk-analyze uses shorter PROTEC tracks than CAPS/SPS?

Also, do you know if your high score table is original/unmodified? It certainly looks that way, and is the first such I've seen!

I just have the ctraw dump that is in the zone. The disk I have is pretty messed up and can't be redumped as the disk has severely deteriorated.

T0: AmigaDOS Long Track (105500 Bits)
T1-60: RNC PDOS (Early Variant)
T61-78: Unformatted*
T79: RNC PDOS (Early Variant)
T80-83: Unformatted
Side 1:
T0: Unformatted
T1-51: RNC PDOS (Early Variant)
T52-79: Unformatted*
T80-83: Unformatted
** WARNING: 46 tracks are damaged or unidentified!

The warning is rather odd as I just checked the track length and it is showing 111502 bit length.

Bill tomato is modified. I can blank track 79.0, however it is not normal that track 0.1 is empty. In the PAL release, this track is AmigaDOS long.

The knackered copy I have has good track up until about 50 shows T0.1 as unformatted without the *. Would need another good copy to confirm.

I've pretty thoroughly scrubbed eBay and Google Shopping (across multiple countries!) and have yet to see a NTSC release for sale. It appears to have not been very common in North America (in fact, I'd never heard of the game at all before CAPS).

I'll continue searching.

I have Red Zone NTSC, but it has one back track on disk 1 (Track 66 - sector 3 missing), which might be a mastering error. It does seem to work fine, but fails to install with WHDload. I remember reading in a thread that JOTD mentioned that the track was blank, so I will take a look.

I have it too. I have both versions : NTSC and PAL. The error is on a track that is not used by the game.

The game is like new when you got it in the shop.

Are you sure that's how it was sold? Virtually all Psygnosis titles have a default high score list, not empty.

If I can acquire another (NTSC) copy of Red Zone that exhibits exactly the same problem, can we (including SPS) collectively agree it _is_ indeed a confirmed mastering error and move on?

I took a look at the dump for the white version of Armour-Geddon and disk 1 is definitely a bad dump. Disk 2 and 3 seem ok.

Unlikely. You'd have to prove that the game is incapable of reading the part of the disk that is not formatted.

I do have the disk dumps I did. They were done on an Amiga using the SPS software. I have a grease weasel these days but my NTSC copy of Red Zone is in storage and not easily accessible.

The game writes track 79.0 in order to random generate the level codes.

The official IPF has the track 79.0 blanked.
