I've installed Virtualdub.
I could set the RESIZE filter to the wanted size (50% of the original size -> 312x176 ).
I could configure the framerate to 12 fps.
But I couldn't configure the CONVERT FORMAT filter to 15-bit RGB. It's only possible to convert to 32-bit RGB or YCbCr 12, 16 or 24.

How can I convert to 15-bit RGB using Virtualdub ?

Yes, hard drive emulation is only possible with the ARM controller upgrade. My 68K runs at 49 MHz.

the avi4hv executable is not the AMIGA program to playback the video.
It is the Windows program to convert the 15bit avi file and wav audio file into an amiga HAM6 video.

When you have created the HAM6 file you then run HAMP.RUN from the shell on an amiga.

eg. Shell> HAMP.RUN {your video name}

I used avi4hv in a WinXP shell, it run well, but the only problem I had is concerning the output file. After two tries with 2 different video/audio files, avi4hv generated each time a 1KB file. The process was very fast. My sample video is 37 seconds, so maybe it is too short ? Is there a minimum/specific length for a video file (like for the specific video resolution that must be 320 pixels) ?

Wow i was already impressed of that 242 fairlight demo back in the old days. 26mb crunched on 1 disk. but this HAM thing is awesome.

i found the converter from this post: http://www.amiga.org/forums/showpost...53&postcount=2 - this is version 1.0. and a player called hamnew. missing hamp.run (maybe this is a newer one?).

I'm having the same issue with, keep getting 1k 'hv' files??

I didn't tried it since my last post so I'm still stuck. It would be cool if, at least, someone could share a converted video like Chain asked, yes, a short movie trailer would be nice to try on a real Amiga.

Or even better, a quick Youtube tutorial on how to convert a video with avi4hv !

ok, I remember getting a similar error as the 1k files. I cant remember the fix though. I "think" that reinstalling Virtualdub worked (perhaps maybe resetting the program to defaults worked too) But I am not certain. I will retry later in the week.
