Finalising "Ultimate Fighters CD32" collection, need help with final game selection
It's going to have 32 games (ie CD32). These are the 32 in my first draft, I'll happily exchange based on feedback.
Some notes: * I would have otherwise included Capital Punishment and Primal Rage, the former I can't get to work reliably and the latter I can't get to work at all. * Shadow Fighter and Ultimate Body Blows are both CD32 editions and will both have their CD32 music, I've hacked UBB to use different track numbers in order to accomodate the music for both games. * Some other games are the CD32 version but don't include CD music anyway (eg IK+ and Brutal Paws of Fury) * Some other games have a CD32 edition, but floppy disk version is included because of the lack of space on the disc for more CD music (Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo and Fightin' Spirit) * Rise of the Robots is my "SE" hack edition. * SF2 has had some tweaks and -should- work without keyboard. * SSF2 New Challengers is the DX edition by Viddi. * Shadow Warriors is a game I would have otherwise included, except for the keyboard requirement (is not compatible with CD32Load's keyboard mapper function) * Barbarian I would have included except I can't seem to get it to work with CD32Load, which in turn is needed for keyboard mapping. * Some games have had keyboard mapping, eg smartbomb in Motorhead, bow in Budokan. * All games below function in emulated CD32 settings in WinUAE, have not tested on real console yet Come to think of it, Karateka would be a good addition - I've not had any luck running it on a real console though. EDIT: Dropping Pit Fighter, putting Karateka in instead EDIT: Dropping Shaq Fu, Rise of the Robots SE, SSF2 Turbo. Putting in Art of Breaking Heads, Karate Kid Part II, Super TaeKwanDo Master EDIT: ?Final? list of games, upped roster to 40 with all previously dropped games plus Fatal Impact, Sword of Sodan, Mad Fighters II and Ninja Mission Quote:

Looks great to me. What do you think about including that "random game selection" we talked about long before?

Why not I guess I'm coding the menu from scratch so that's doable.

Added random selection to the menu (blue button), moves the selection to a random game (but you can still choose a different game, or redo random if you want)
Going to drop Pit Fighter, add Karateka instead (assuming I can get it to run on a real console) |

I had terrible trouble starting / playing the game after installing Capital Punishment from either the .IPFs or .ADFs ...that was until I discovered / installed these files afterwards from this "clickBOOM" website: http://cd.textfiles.com/amigama/amig.../download.html CP upgrade 1.1 LHA archive: http://cd.textfiles.com/amigama/amig...M/cp/CP1.1.lha or CP upgrade 1.1 DMS version: http://cd.textfiles.com/amigama/amig...M/cp/CP1.1.DMS CP level cheat: http://cd.textfiles.com/amigama/amig...M/cp/menu.code Don't know if the above helps, you've probably already tried these? |

@s2325 figure of speech, I'm referring to the special "distraction" power in the game.
@damiend already tried 1.1. We're so very close, the last remaining issue is that the game crashes after one bout when loading from my CD builds. |

Those two are guilty pleasures for me (though I'm biased since its the SE version of ROTR I'm including )
I might give Street Fighter 2 turbo the chop maybe |

I think it's better this way I found that due to effects of the "birthday paradox" the same games kept being selected by the random function, plus if there's a game on there that you really, really hate..
Dropping three more games * Shaq Fu * Street Fighter 2 Turbo * Rise of the Robots SE Substituting * Art of Breaking Heads * Karate Kid, Part 2 * Super TaeKwanDo Master |

Not at all, but I've included the "Best of the Best" version of the game.

What about a 2 CD Edition, cause there are so many good or interesting BeatEmUps out there?

That's certainly tempting! I'll keep it in mind.

Cheers
I've designed the menu with NTSC compatibility in mind (it's 320x200), the individual games may or may not work correctly depending on whether or not they were designed with NTSC support in mind. |
