Did the same when I worked at EB, £20 for the CD32, and all the games I could carry. Wish i'd kept them! I had some cable that let my CD32 act as a CD-ROM for my A1200, very slow though! |

Edit: I'm proud to say the last boxed Amiga game I bought was Rygar AGA a couple of weeks ago
My last boxed-product purchase was actually 2 games: Sensible World of Soccer 96/97 Worms The Directors Cut AGA I worked for Game computer stores in the late 90's and these were the last two "brand new" releases for the Amiga that came into the store IIRC. Between then and when I left (November 1997) we continued to receive the odd boxed copies of older Amiga games (Starlord, UFO Enemy Unknown, B17 Flying Fortress for example) but no more new releases, sadly. My store manager was always trying to retire that Amiga shelf of games but I successfully defended it for nearly three years. And there were -zero- Atari ST games the whole time I worked there Last edited by Gryfon; 07 February 2020 at 16:48. |

The last one I can remember I bought is Theme Park when it was released in stores here in Sweden. Hard to remember though.

Cannon Fodder 2. What a disappointment, a complete wash.
Out of the roughly 200 games that I had, the originals were: Cannon Fodder Cannon Fodder 2 Darkseed Dune II Street Fighter 2 Wing Commander Universe Worms So, not great. In retrospect, the larger-than life games that I SHOULD have bought were definitely: Pinball Dreams / Fantasies Settlers Monkey 1 and 2 Omitting classics like that, while owning junk like SF2, CF2 and Darkseed is as backwards as can be. |

Cannon Fodder 2 and Chaos Engine 2 were very close to the end of my original run with Amiga. I think Chaos 2 was the very last 'big' release on Amiga that I played. It definitely prompted me to think the party's over, time to do something better with my time.
On a positive note, unboxing, launching and completing the original Cannon Fodder is an everlasting gaming memory for me. But that's off-topic. |

Last boxed game I got was Capital Punishment. Was at an amiga show in St. Louis and they were selling these for really cheap (I think something like $5 or less).

Last Boxed game I brought was Monkey Island 2. Paid £3 for it in a old independent computer shop, Had a pile of Amiga titles and wanted them sold and gone as the PC was taking over. Still have it on my shelf today
