Games that you wished were converted to the Amiga.
Okay guys,
This posting is pretty general & open. Name any game from any other system or arcade game that you wished they'd made an Amiga update or converted the original. To get the ball rolling I have three games I can think of; 1) Ghettoblaster C64-This was,(& still is), one of my all time favourite C64 games. I always would've like to have seen an update of this & the Amiga would've been great for it. 2) Friday the 13thC64-for all the crappiness of the gfx, I loved the atmosphere of when you found the bodies piling up & you knew Jason wasn't far away-imagine an Amiga version with the scream FX!! 3)Snow Bros Arcade-I seem to recall an Amiga version was being done by Ocean but I don't remember what happened to it?? |

What would I like to see??
Just about every C64 game heh. I liked Friday the 13th. If you keep hacking away at the dead bodies, they come back to life (but this was probably a bug) |

Another one:
Metal Slug. And Metal Slug 2.
They are even the reasons why I'm looking for an SNK console at the moment. I desperately want to play those on me telly! (And no, MAME and a TV-Out PC card won't do it for me.) |

A couple of games I'd really have liked to see converted
1) Monty on the run. This was on many systems but I don't think it ever made it to the Amiga 2) Tilt (The one with a ball in a maze you have to tilt and the ball can't hit the wall, not the one with a ball in a sliding maze) 3) The C64 version of Kwik Snax 4) Lazy jones 5) School daze 6) Fire ant All listed are C64 games and I'm far from sure that none of them were converted. |

Stuff I'd love to have seen on the Miggy
1) Eye of the Beholder III
(even though it isn't as good as the first two) 2) Frontier: First Encounters 3) Friday the 13th (C64 version was awesome) 4) Dizzy (the original) 5) Hyper Sports 6) Mikie 7) Bruce Lee I'll think of some more soon enough |

Oh Yeah
8) TFX
(I'd like to have seen it published although CU Amiga magazine gave it away free on one of their cover CDs a few years later) 9) Mega Lo Mania 2 10) Syndicate Wars |

Tilt
Drake - there was a game called Tilt released on the Amiga by Codemasters - I think you have to Tilt the maze. However, we are still looking for it.
There is a more common Tilt game from Genias. |

Megalomania 2 looked good man! Oh well... this thread is not about cancelled games, but games which were not proted, so here's my list (in no particular order):
- Skool Daze - Street Fighter Alpha 2 (they really could have done it!) - Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - Dracula X (or any new Castlevania game) - Gradius or Salamander! I would have liked to se a lot MORE aracde conversions of jap arcade games. But the jap public was just not interested in the Amiga. it was too expensive over there |

Games i wanted to see
I'd like to have seen the bullfrog games especially syndicate wars and magic carpet.
Duke nukem would have been nice too. One of the best games on the pc in my book. The other obvious ones are adventures by Lucasart especialy Grim Fandango, Monkey islands and day of the tentacle. It's a pity stuff went the way they did otherwise we'd have seen all these ones... |

Ultima Underworld 1&2
Ultima Underworld 1&2 - the Amiga could easily handle it. Think of Legends Of Valour, but 10 times as good.

Hehe
Speaking of Tilt from codemasters.
I looked at home of the underdogs to see if they could at least provide some info on which platforms it was released for. They had the Genias version listed and here's what it said "Not to be confused with Codemasters' action-adventure game of the same name" I think it looks good with the cover of the Codemasters version listed in the screenshots. That logo is not easy to miss. |

Back in the warez days when I saw The Simpsons: Bart's House of Weirdness at a PC friend's house, I thought it looked pretty cool and was pissed that the Amiga didn't get it (since our machine is clearly better equipped for platformers!)

Oh yeah...another PC game that had Amiga written all over it was Jazz Jackrabbit and its sequel, Jazz Jackrabbit 2. It even played well!

There were 2 tilt's on the C64
One of them is the one on Cody's MIA list - You tilt the board and try to get the ball to the end The other one I liked more - You maneouevre a ball around a maze to get to the flag at the end I want them both --- Bruce Lee - The C64 version was better, but http://wuarchive.wustl.edu/pub/amine...y/BruceLee.lha --- Once TFX was given away by CU Amiga, it was released on CD. Can't remember by who though. I think it was Epic Interactive |

It was Ocean. And I adequately reduced the size of this image after that monster-sized Jazz pic above (sorry...)

Akira said all I think, I would like to see more jap arcade conversions
I think any game can be converted to any system if done correctly. There's Street Fighter 2 for Master System, and that's quite good (I know it was developed here in Brazil, I don't know if got a worldwide distribution. Brazil developed some nice games for Master System). Street Fighter Alpha 2, all Toaplan shmups (Truxton, Hellfire, Dogyunn & cia), SNK games (Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting, for example, could be easily done), NBA Jam (This one isn't jap, I know ), more capcom games (Like 1941, Captain Commando or Cadillacs & Dinossaurs). More konami games would be cool too, like Gradius & Salamander, as Akira said, or Xexex, Dobble Dribble 2, Aliens... @ Drake 1009 You said Lazy Jones ... I have a game with this name for MSX, and is very good, you say it's a C64 games, so chances its the same game. Could you tell me more about it? I would like to see a C64 version of this game |

Lazy Jones is the game who inspired the famous dance tune Kernkraft 4000 by Zombie Nation.
Check the MSX game's tunes, in there you should find the catchy, familiar choon |

/me slaps Akira with an A1200
It's Kernkraft 400 and it's not dance, but electro! How dare you say Zombie Nation is dance-music? |

/me kicks Samurai's ass for wasting a perfectly good A1200 on someone as un-important as Akira
