Farmiga - a new game from Poland (WIP)

A new Polish take on SimFarm, written in Amos. It's not exactly Stardew Valley, and currently in a rather proto stage, but it's already playable and kinda fun (and funny) too.

I'm always happy to see some new non-action games, seeing as these once popular genres are a bit of a minority these days.

Just trying it in WinUAE it might be good to add a note to use A600 in emulation as A500 most common runs into a Guru (at least when selecting English as the language).

Fun concept so far and it works well already. Looking forward to the next version

A new update (18.06.2022) is out. Google translation of the notes:

- a new minigame (the escape of the hen from the fox) starts, the games have a hen

- save the game by clicking on the floppy disk icon in the bottom menu

- a more random appearance of a boar and a fox (we do not know the specific day)

- game packed with Titanics Cruncher to save space in the ADF file

- if we want to run a mini-game for testing, then:

L - start the hen to escape from the fox

8. During purchases / sales on the map of stores, the top screen with available cash is not hidden, so we can see the balance of the account and warehouse all the time

Farmiga (BETA v3) 07/03/2022

1) A redesigned way of buying / selling goods from stores. Now we can handle everything with the mouse

2) New mini game with a cow has been added in which you have to hit the fly with your paw. On the screen we have a cow's life bar and the time the cow has to stay alive ;-)

3) Added introductory main menu of the game and "credits" screen (but only in Polish for now)

4) When saving / reading the game, you can select a specific file

Great Job, this has great potential. Keep up the awesome work. there are not many sims like games lately for Amiga, and a farm simulator is one of the holes which will be filled.

with the music it gives already much more atmosphere. Also the mini games are a great idea and makes it more diverse. A couple more would be really appreciated. I mean it doesn't needs to fit on one disk right?

Couple of Ideas:
- small memory game with farm animals
- hammer heads
- catching fruits/vegetables quickly (if one falls on ground game over)
- rewards / prizes
- simple card game
- High Scores
- noughts and crosses (then eggs and milk bottles or something)

those are some of the ideas to make the game much more enjoyable and also for longer time because of variety.

Farmiga (BETA v4) 6.08.2022

1) Added farmer character to be fed and watered. His age and state of satisfaction are shown in the photo

2) The aim of the game is to survive the farmer through 4 age stages (young, middle age, older and grandpa). Then he retires. If the farmer's health declines, his sad face will be in the photo, and when his health drops completely, we lose the game

3) Added cultivation of coffee and tea that can be sold or watered by the farmer. Coffee or tea with sugar satisfies a lot of the farmer's thirst.

4) New mill and furnace sounds.

5) Full game time is 8 tax periods

This game has grown (pun unintended) quite a bit in the last couple of months. I like the farmer life angle, a bit like Pirates!

A new update (28.08.2022) has been released. Google translation of the notes:

Farmiga (BETA v4) 08/28/2022

1) Full game time is 16 tax periods

2) New start screen and main menu of the game

3) When saving and reading, the states of arable land are remembered, so we do not lose our crops after saving the game

4) Fixed some bugs

Save's from previous versions of the game should work on the new one. As soon as I have graphics for two more game screens, the game will be considered finished.

its easy to play and current beta5 is already surprisingly fun

if something like "Sims" element (for protagonist farmer obviously) could be added, this game might reach to the next level yet unseen ever of this kind.
