Question Loading datadisc Populous - The promised lands

Since a couple of days I am trying to load the datadisc Populous - The Promised Lands. Since the datadisc is not self-bootable, I assume the original Populous disc is needed.
Does anyone know how to load this datadisc from the Populous menu?

I'm not sure about playing the promised lands, but I do know when loaded goto the options menu and select paint map, now put the datadisk in df0: and use number 5-9 on the main keyboard for the various gfx on the datadisk..

I'll look into the other aspect

Thumbs up OK

I will try out your suggestion tonight, Bippym.
Do I actually have to load the game itself and access an options-menu?

Load populous, goto the options menu and makesure you select custom game and paint map.

Now change disks and use numbers 5+ on keyboard for the new gfx..

Also try the Populous + promised lands data disk in one

Isn't that option for using the Populous World Editor?

Unhappy Cannot load it...

Hmm, I have tried to load the datadisc as you described, Bippym.
But somehow the game keeps asking for putting the original disc back in drive DF0. It does not recognise any extra drives.

I have added the options menu from which I tried to load the datadisc:

Select CUSTOM GAME & PAINT MAP, put datadisk in df0: and use keys 5-9 (Some will ask for original disk, others will load new maps )

Thanks for the info bippym - I was wondering how it worked too (although I remember doing it on a real Amiga years ago)

We needed an image for the HOL database - no title screen, though.
