OpenGL not working on Windows 10?

Since upgrading my system to Windows 10, FS-UAE is complaining about no OpenGL drivers. Starting a game via the launcher gives me a "no HW OpenGL Driver" message. The games work, but the UI (by pressing F12) is extremely slow. What is worse: FS-UAE Arcade shows only a black screen.

Strangely, GLView is reporting no problems and the rendering test (the one with the face) is working, too.

I'm using the integrated Intel HD Graphics on my Celeron G530 system. I have attached a logfile.

Hi, please upload fs-uae.log.txt

(Note: I have a laptop with Windows 10 and Intel HD 4000 graphics, where FS-UAE works fine, I haven't installed any drivers manually, just upgraded from Windows 8.1).

These lines are present in the logs:
Code:
opengl vendor: Microsoft Corporation
opengl renderer: GDI Generic
opengl version: 1.1.0
opengl extensions: GL_WIN_swap_hint GL_EXT_bgra GL_EXT_paletted_texture
opengl max texture size (estimate): 1024x1024
While it should be something like this:
Code:
opengl vendor: Intel
opengl renderer: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
opengl version: 4.0.0 - Build 10.18.10.4252
opengl shading language version: 4.00 - Build 10.18.10.4252
opengl extensions: (...)
opengl max texture size (estimate): 16384x16384
So it looks like the OpenGL driver is infact not properly installed. Have you tried (re-)installing the Intel drivers?

Yes, I even uninstalled and then re-installed them completely. The Intel graphics control panel is working and giving me no errors. And GLView is reporting no problems as well. Very strange, especially as FS-UAE was working flawlessly on Windows 8.1...

Exactly what graphics "card" do you have?

Can you post a screenshot from your GLView displaying OpenGL driver information?

I have no dedicated graphics card. I'm using the integrated "Intel HD Graphics" of my Celeron G530 processor (Sandy Bridge). See the attached screenshots!

Very strange...

Can you try with clean version of FS-UAE (using the portable version is the easiest way):
1. Please try to extract FS-UAE 2.4.1 portable suite to a new/clean directory.
2. Please try to extract FS-UAE 2.6.0beta2 portable suite to a new/clean directory.

Do you get the same problem with both?

I think you're on the right track:

- 2.6.0beta2 gives me the same problems (FS-UAE Arcade showing only a black screen, Launcher showing the "no HW OpenGL driver" message)
- 2.4.1 works flawlessly! No error message, GUI is smooth and FS-UAE Arcade is working. The screen is zoomed in too much, but I think this is a problem with the old version.

I'm attaching the fs-uae.log of the working 2.4.1 version. Thanks a lot for looking into this thing!

Hmm.. strange...

What happens if you download FS-UAE only (without launcher/arcade)?

Download http://fs-uae.net/fs-uae/stable/2.6....a2_windows.zip and extract to a new directory, just run fs-uae.exe without any configuration.

Sandy Bridge graphics is not supported in Windows 10 There is a support table on the Intel website outlining this.

I was quite shocked when I found out. Intel is usually quite good, but not in this case.
