Captive 1.1
Hey guys,
I've got my hands on Captive's demo, version 1.0 and version 1.2. Version 1.1 can't be found anywhere and even the programmer doesn't remember the differences between versions. I searched in the Atari scene, but thought perhaps you guys know about this version. Also, did the Amiga version of Captive came with 2 disks or just one? The Atari version came with 2 disks, but the second disk is never used. |

@Lyverbe
Captive is my most favourite game EVER! I have 3 different boxed Amiga versions alas ALL only come with 1 disk. I have 1 in a Big Box and 2 Jewel Cases. i must take pictures of these. |

can anyone tell me if there is anything significant about the Amiga Format Captive demo? does it use a custom map instead of including the whole map-generator or anything? i have no idea what version it is btw.
i've used the generic whdload slave to install it, but with NOVBRMOVE being used, it doesnt quit. Perhaps if i can work out how it is crunched (xfddecrunch yeilded no success) i can make it quit as well, as the tooltype may no longer need to be set. Once i've tested it, i'll happily slap it in the zone for anyone interested. |

If anyone is interested there's a rather cool Celebrity review of Dungeon Master on the Amiga Games Database by Tony Crowther. He comments on his own approach to game design, the Amiga and stuff in general. |

i claim no rights to a generic slave and demo-file that anyone could slap together! once i've made sure it works on the a1200 (am tinkering with that atm) i'll upload it - even if i havent unpacked the file yet! Last edited by Hungry Horace; 11 January 2008 at 16:11. |
