Sorting through my disk collection

Tonight I have started sorting through my collection of Amiga disks (over 800).

I will continue to provide a update of my disk sorting in this thread.

I do not have the time to check for alternates. If the game is already listed in TOSEC, it goes in my "don't dump" box.

I have completed sorting through all games and coverdisks I have.

I still have many apps, demos, compilations & PD to sort.

I will also list originals I have for donation to CAPS.

I am not sure what I'll do with all my disks once I've dumped them - I guess the only ones with any real value for collectors are the original magazine coverdisks and original games (which sadly all lack manuals and boxes).

These are all the non-TOSEC Coverdisks I have, see post below for my games.

AMIGA SHOPPER COVERDISKS: (I told you I was a big Amishopper fan !)

Issues 21, 23, 25, 27, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45A, 45B, 46, 47A, 47B, 47C, 48A, 48B, 48C, 49A, 49B, 49C, 50A, 50B, 50C, 51A, 51B, 51C, 52A, 52B, 52C, 53A, 53B, 53C, 54A, 54B, 54C, 55A, 55B, 55C, 56A, 56B, 56C

AMIGA FORMAT COVERDISKS:

19, 24a, 24b, 30b, 53a, 59a, 63b, 66b, 72b, 74b, 77a, 77b

CU AMIGA COVERDISKS:

Coverdisks 1 (this might already be there as CU Collection 1), 6, 19, 34

AMIGA COMPUTING:

12/94A, 12/94B, 06/94, 11/93A, 11/93B, 12/94C, 06/94

AMIGA USER INTERNATIONAL:

Superdisk 33, Superdisk 45, Superdisk 46

STAMpede (STAM = ST AMiga) / rAMpage (it's succesor after they dropped the ST....haha !). From what I recall these magazine disks were quite well protected as most of the content was on the disks and you only had a few pages of the mag. My newsagents stopped stocking it after Issue 5 - I guess it went bust, probably because I was the only guy buying it !!

STAMpede Issue 2, Disk 1
STAMpede Issue 2, Disk 2
rAMpage Issue 3, Disk 1
rAMpage Issue 3, Disk 2
rAMpage Issue 4, Disk 1
rAMpage Issue 4, Disk 2
rAMpage Issue 5, Disk 1

I'll start dumping these over the weekend and upload to my FTP. I'll notify you on my FTP thread when I have some stuff there. Anybody from TOSEC will be given priority access to the FTP.

GAMES

Some games I've found (all copies/cracks unless stated). I've not looked at 'em yet but I can see that these are possibly not in TOSEC.

In alphabetical order.....

Codebreaker (written by me! Probably will never be released for fear of embarassment !). This is definitely non-TOSEC and the only copy in existence is the one I have here....I hope it still works !

Fruit Machine, The (might be PD - not sure until I test)

Global Gladiators (2 disks). This was quite popular, I fear it has an alternate title. Thrown into my "Don't Bother Dumping Bin" as TOSEC call it Mick & Mack - Global Gladiators - thanks Twistin' Ghost

Property Market (Start Computer Systems PD disk)

Sensible Soccer (2 disks, labelled as V1.0. I also wrote on the label No Offside, Passback or Cards). Worth checking anyhow as it is my fave game !

Speedball 2 (disk is marked as A600/A1200 compatible version so may be of interest - possibly already one of the cracks out there though).

Super Huey (was a CU Amiga coverdisk I think, I stuck label over it and cannot see what issue no).

Tetrix (this is just marked as Tetrix so may be different to existing TOSEC ones?)

Turbocup Challenge (games with similar names so may be a dupe). This is a original, label is Smash16 which I think is a budget label.

I'll continue to edit this post and my 1st post as I find new disks.

God knows why, but the TOSEC team believe the name is Mick & Mack - Global Gladiators ... (sigh) it seems if there is a way to make a game title gigantic, TOSEC embraces it. I am expecting future dats to rename games including all of the text from every title screen, regardless of how obviously not a part of the title it is!
How about:
Mick & Mack as the Global Gladiators TM Start Game Options High Score ©1993 Virgin Games (1993)(Virgin Games)[cr Prodigy](Disk 1 of 2).adf

Sorry for the sarcasm, but it's really getting ridiculous, especially with the newly extended publisher entries!

If you obseve the scan of the box at Exotica, just Global Gladiators is on the box. And on the lower left hand corner sticker. Likewise the Sega Master System and Mega Drive boxes only use the title Global Gladiators. Sometimes a tree is just a tree...

Cool!

Some great stuff there! We will have to arrange a time for me to pick the stuff up & drop my stuff for you off... Roughly where are you in Essex? (PM me if you like)

Do you want to keep any of it? I don't think you have said if you want to keep any of the coverdisks... ?

If so, then I can perhaps bring my miggy round and dump whatever there and then... It takes at most 10mins/disk.

Anyway, let me know!
