The perfect WinUAE setup

What conditions are necessary in WinUAE to achieve the most accurate emulation possible with respect to real hardware?

Synchronies, caches, cycle-exact ... etc

Hard question to answer really. If you want the most 'authentic' Amiga experience then choose to sync everything, only use caches available for the Amiga model you are emulating and of course keep it cycle-exact.

That being said you can tweak loading times quite a bit without being 'untrue' to an authentic Amiga experience. It's really up to you if you want to play Alien Breed 3D on an authentic A1200 configuration or just on a dream machine never possible in 1995.

Its a curious choice, on one hand you want the feeling of being back in time and in sync with how it felt then but then again I can super charge the disk drive, have loads of spare ram.

Well the nice thing is you can have both and play it the way you like either classic or suped up depending on how you feel.

If you want smallest latency possible (less than 10 milliseconds): lagless vsync is the option to enable but because it also basically depends on display driver undefined behavior, it may not always work. Obviously requires monitor that supports 50Hz (=almost any with HDMI, also any freesync/gsync gaming monitor should have frequency range from about 30hz to 100hz+)

Only 68000 (and in 4.4.0 68010) based Amigas have fully cycle-accurate mode. There is not enough information to emulate 68020 cycle-accurate.
