Next one is already in the works!

Grab a mulled wine or some eggnog and sit down for a read

We decided to change it up, it's been 9 issues. Plus we have other British Amiga mags now, so we wouldn't like to presume We're probably going to rotate the message across the top, like the different messages you used to get on the spines of the classic magazines back in the day.

And this issue I have a bit more - we are proud to announce that as of the 7th April, AA will be available in 300 newsagents across the UK, plus selected stores in the Ireland, USA and Australia. You can go in a shop and buy an Amiga mag

We're super proud!

Congratulations!

I’m a subscriber and WH Smiths isn’t one of my favourite shops, but I’ll have to pop in for that 90s Amiga magazine experience.

You just need to bring back the cover floppy and the experience will be complete.

Congratulations on getting into stores! Time to cancel my subscription and start buying exclusively in store. (I kid, I kid).

About the coverdisk.

It says it should work on an A500 but the disk itself does not (game probably does). I tested a Kick 1.3 A500 config and I get "assign failed returncode 20". It probably just needs a 1.x compatible assign executable on the disk.

Yeah, there are large differences between the 1.3 Assign command and the 2.0+ Assign commands. They might also be using the AROS version of the Assign command as opposed to licencing the official commands for distribution on the disk, but that, too, requires Kickstart 2.0+.

I've had a stab at fixing this but it's a bit more complex than just a 2.0 Assign command it seems. It works from Workbench though, so I'm not too concerned.

I had a look and not sure the Assign is needed so just added Echo to disk and got it working on A500 with 1 meg chip ram. Will look into 512kb chip ram for completeness to see if it is possible as not a huge number of graphics...

Now that's a sight I thought I'd never see!

My lingering memories of Smiths are the final issues of Amiga Format and CU Amiga sitting on the shelves for months. AmigActive briefly revived things before succumbing to the same fate.

Picked up Pixel Addict from Smiths today.

Also noticed that there is no disk label in the AA in the shops.

I went to the local smiths to pick AA up but they had none left! I had completely forgotten about Pixel Addict though, that was there on the shelf so bought that. Ace to be able to do this in this day and age!
