WinUAE on Windows XP crashes immediately
I recently bought Amiga Forever. After installing and starting WinUAE it crashes immediatly.
I have installed version 2.8.1 of WinUAE. My system is Windows XP SP3. I have attached a crashdump file. |

It is not WinUAE bug and not the first time near-identical crash has been reported. It crashes inside Windows directinput dll (dinput8.dll, thanks for including crash dump) when WinUAE tries to enumerate all connected devices. Possibly buggy game controller driver, mouse driver or something similar, try disconnecting all not needed USB devices (if you have any). Another possibility is too old DirectX.
-nodirectinput command line parameter may also help. |

I have to admit: doesn't WinUAE look pretty under XP!

Ok, the problem is solved. It has been my PICkit programmer connected via USB. After unplugging it WinUAE runs just fine. Thanks.
BTW: Which program do you take for parsing and viewing the memory dumps? |
