So here are the file types I have tried and did not work. Not sure what is supposed to be supported and what's not.

Not recognised :
(Amiga formats) (shouldn't UADE plugin be able to play these ?)
Hippel-COSO (normal and 7v)
Sonic Arranger
DT custom modules
Digital mugician
Maxtrax
P41/P61 (odd, as P60 are played)
Vectordean (aka Richard Joseph)

(Atari ST formats)
TCB tracker
Quartet ST
SoundFX ST

(PC formats)
Opus (both as straight opus and inside webm)
MP4 (with AAC inside)
Extended Midi (XMI) (okay, nobody plays that...)

Incomplete/incorrect support :
(Amiga formats)
MED (most are ok ; old MMD0 from push over does not play correctly)
(Atari ST formats)
Jochen Hippel ST (some ok, some not recognised, some mismatched with TFMX-Pro-TFHD)
(PC formats)
straight AAC (one played incorrect, one was not recognised)

I can provide files if needed. PM me in that case.
From the top of my head here's what I know:
Sonic Arranger should work
Digital mugician should work
Maxtrax requires stuff not implented by UADE yet, see here
Vectordean should work
Then there are a lot of bad rips. The rest of formats I'm aware of, but need to implement support for, OPUS, MP4 etc.

MDAT mods (with seperate .smpl files)
TFX mods (with seperate .sam files)
HIPC - Crashes the player
HIP - uade - Some do some don't
FRED - Some do some don't
PT3 - Not working

FLS, FXM (both chip tune AY style mods - seem to be not supported)

FTC, STC, VTX, PSC, PT1, PT2, ASC, GTR, PSM
(All these formats use the ZXTune player)
Some will play, some crash, some do nothing. If i reload a tune sometimes it will play. If i play one tune using the ZXTune player, then try another it crashes. Play that crashed tune again and it plays. I would suggest theres a bug with loading this ZXTune routine, or the mod formats that utilise it. Stability in this player routine would add a great deal of format support.

SQT, STP - These load in uade player, seem to load and play, but no sound comes out? Length not calculated.

BZR is slowly becoming a one-stop player for all mod/chip/exotic formats, i really like the advancements with each test release Still, need the player window to remember the size i reduce it to though, so its nice and small
FaceTheMusic - Need more emulated stuff in UADE, see here
TFMX and HIP seems a bit buggy yes, but I know there are a lot of bad rips
ZXTune is the really buggy plugin that I'vetried to fix but haven't. Yet.

That it doesn't remember the window is actually a bug, and THAT will I fix.

It is even possible some single-file mods fail to load because they have unexpected/missing prefix/suffix. How can we know ?
Seems like some replyers in UADE requires prefixes and other suffixes and other doesn't care. You can probably see this if you start BZR and capture the stderr output. But obviously both prefixes or suffixes should work ideally.

Beware, as SA has several sub-formats. The ones i tried come from Ambermoon but without the replay routine inside.

I know, but these aren't bad rips and work fine with DT2 on the miggy.

Not only. There are different player versions for these formats and this sometimes triggers incompatibillities. For example, same player can't play both Amberstar and Dragonflight mods correctly - I had to make an ugly patch in DT2's COSO replayer to fix effect replay differences.

I don't even know how to capture stderr on windows
But if you know naming conventions that work, i can try them.
Otherwise i use :
. sa.songname
. mug.songname
. sng.songname + ins.songname
Anyway, it's clear that single-file mods shouldn't care at all about their file name...

Hello, thanks for this player, which get more functionalities over time.
It seems the latest versions of BZR Player cannot open lha files anymore. Is it on purpose?
Also, is there an option to rip modules to wav quick and easy, instead of setting the output to WAV and wait for the song to be read entirely?

Hi,
version 2 is rewritten from scratch, archive support isn't added yet but will be.
What you're asking for a "speed" rip. BZR Player 2 can already rip songs to separate wav's, but it will do it in real time, except after a while when it will speed up to about 2x play speed.

Hi bLAZER, thank you for your answer. First of all, I am quite happy to see this player is being developed and improved. We need a good successor to DeliPlayer!
I had not read the history of v2's development. Happy to know that lha compatibility is planned to be back!
Regarding file ripping, I got the player to rip files but for Super Stardust it was a quite tedious task:
- let the player read the full module
- close it once a song is ripped
- reopen the player to do the next song, etc.
Maybe I got it wrong but if I try to rip several modules one one after the other with the same instance, I only get a big WAV file with the different modules I tried to rip.
Also, for Super Stardust, I had to edit the WAV file because the beginning and end of each song had a silent part of one or more minutes. But maybe I didn't get how to rip with this player (for this XMplayer is much easier to play with)

You must be using an old version. You only have to choose wavwriter. Then all songs you play will be saved to separate wavs from start to finish, even subsongs.

You must be right. I'll try with v247 or later when I have some more time. Thank you again!
