PSYGNOSIS CDTV Demo Cd...

few days ago on Ebay Germany a CDTV was sold - including a PSYGNOSIS Demo CD...

Does anybody know anything about that one?

Probably the Planetside demo, a "space"ship chasing a missile over some fractal generated landscape. Used to demo a lot of CDTVs. It's on the lemmings CDTV edition and possible on a separate disc as well.

Not exactly. The Lemmings CD contains only the Planetside demo whereas the Psygnosis Demo CD contains the Planetside demo together with some other stuff. However, I don't know what's on the CDTV version because I only have the version for the FM-Towns. But I guess it's identical...

And it mentions "- along with a longer version of the Planetside demo - "

So was there a longer Planetside demo then the lemmings disc?

The planetside demo was shorter.. there's one extral scene that didn't make it to the lemmingsversion, but apart from that its a cut down.

Most of the other demo parts are from other psygnosis game intros like killing gameshow..and what would have been microcosmCDTV. Probably a good thing the game never was released.. looked a lot like those horrible 4 color megaCD animations.

There's a couple of clips from what I think is aquaventura. A lot of the 3d models look like they've been recycled from that game to planetside, just like the soundFX has been been used in aminos.
