Amiga on Pocket PC
Heys Guys,
I have the follwoing spec Pocket PC phone Its a Vario 2 MDA ( from T-Mobile ) this is what it looks like  *mines a little diferent *it dont have that lame ass t-mobie crap on it LOL * okies... heres the specs of the machine Wifi LAN Blue Tooth Infrared 320x256 16bit capacitive screen flip keyboard (cool) 2.1MP camera 64mb ram flash 128mb non-volitile Samsung SC32442A CPU @ 400mhz Windows Mobile 5 ------------------------------------- my old phone was similar but didn`t have wifi LAN and only used a Pentium PX2723 300mhz cpu running windows mobile 2003. -------------------------------------- so heres the problem I have downloaded the latest pocket uae, I have configured it correctly but it still fails to boot (just sits there with a black screen) I have tried booting just to rom (insert disk stage) I have tried booting HDF and from directory none of these have suceeded. I have tried two previous version of PocketUAE i have, and they all do the same  .is there another package i could use or any ideas really... |

I can't help you but I remember trying this on (I think) my old iPaq and I couldn't get anything out of it either :/
I've got a different one know so I'll try it and let you know! |

where is the pocketUAE homepage? I will try it on my Axim X50v (2003se, 640x480, 624mhz, 16MB openGL 2700G gfx) and let u know...
altough a pocket-pc without a keyboard will suck, nice phone zetr0, a friend has a similar QTEK device, but the battery is crappy, too short uptime... |

battery is pretty good on average i dont need to recharge it for 4 days and thats with meduim use...

tried it on my 2003se x50v , works nice , I will change the settings to see if I can get it to use the 2700G gpu...

Indeed, this seems to be a windows mobile 5 conflict problem with the emulator. I have not checked the ppcuae scene for a while there maybe another version out there or maybe some sources on sourceforge. but alas unless you want to put your mobile phone over to a linux OS i think we are kinda screwed for a Amiga emu atm... Mobile 5 has also screwed up pocket GBA and pocket SNES too ... some times picodrive (sega megadrive / genesis) emulator works... just a little twitchy!...

Zetro if your phone looks like that then its a Vario 1 with 200mhz CPU. The Vario 2 looks very different especially around keyboard - I've got one!
How about trying Castaway the ST emu? I've not tried anything on mine yet. Not even installed ActiveSync (I hate it)... |

mine has a 624mhz cpu and as far as I can tell I get A500 speeds LOL

Im willing to bet it doesn't even manage that, try RSI Megademo with frameskip=1, if it's smooth then it matches an A500, if not then it doesn't.

Any news on this? I have an ipaq rx1470 PDA and get the same black screen of death. 8( SNES does work for me however. YAY for mobile mario kart and Fzero!
