Blizzard PPC

Has anyone got a working current config for getting Blizzard PPC running with OS 4.1 final edition?

I can get Cyberstorm working no trouble, but Blizzard either crashes WinUAE completely or just does nothing after the emulated amiga turns on.

It does work, but something does not feel not right with Blizzardppc emulation in general. Maybe the 603 emulation is hugely bottle necked somewhere. Its notably slower than my actual bppc amiga. On the other hand the 604 cyberstorm emulation flies and is probably a lot faster than the actual machine.

The emulation is just staying true to the quality of the 603 chip itself. That's how I figure it.

Thats how used QEMU version works, 603 model is slower for some reason. Use config line entry to force CSPPC model to work around it (described in some other thead)

"not working" probably means trying to some expansions that are impossible in real world.

Nothing too fancy, as I said cyberstorm works perfectly.

I will use Matt's config and see how I get on with it.

I didn't add anything exotic, picasso IV rtg and network adapter on top of the quickstart blizzard setup.

Edit: Seems as though it's because I used Zorro 3 for the RTG Piccaso IV, Zorro 2 works fine.

I've attached some logs in case it helps track down any issue.

tried many times, and RTG board is never available when Zorro III is used, either with uae or picasso IV selected, using both options with Zorro II shows up in WinUAE as expected.

Same config, but with Cyberstorm PPC used, Zorro 3 works as expected. Don't know if this is somethat that wouldn't work in the real work, I've tried searching but no links I found listed Zorro 3 as a seperate entry with the blizzard PPC

An A1200 with a blizzard ppc doesn't have any ZorroIII ability so the emulation is running true to that ?

Z3 boards can conflict with Blizzard PPC RAM. Blizzards are not like A3000/A4000 accelerator boards that have RAM outside of Z3 space.

It is also physically quite difficult to use Z3 boards in real BPPC config..

EDIT: also OS4 is very strict and does not like anything that is not exactly like in real world.

At the moment using blizzardppc does not bring any advantage I have tried many times out of curiosity too.
Cyberstorm is the best choice as you will surely already know.
OS 4.1FE works very well with winuae and I don't understand why it is not supported in the development of winuae.
Ok it requires a high-end PC but any other emulator of a certain level also has these hardware requests.
And how to persist in operating RPCS3 with a pentium.
Initially when Toni had created the ppc emulation I actually thought that the emulation was limited, but actually it is not so it works very well instead.
Ok qemu is stuck at version 2.0 but it works, and also well.
The 3.xx and 4.1 are two different systems, the first is the one I used with a real amiga years ago and in that period I did the various tests with the supplied software and I learned a lot.
With 4.1FE using it as a user now it amuses me and it is the evolution of the workbench that I have waited for many years when I used Amiga.

What I still don't understand is why it is said that it doesn't work, I always speak as a fan for this OS.

It works is also good.

The only small flaw that I encounter is to use many applications together at the same time, otherwise it would be perfect.
I wonder if this is possible to improve it at present I do not know what to work on to improve this aspect.

In conclusion, when I read a topic dedicated to 4.1 I like to say my point of view, if this aspect would have improved the 4.1 would be perfect with winuae.
Toni sorry, but the emulation you created works is not limited, the only current limit is to work simultaneously with many applications if this problem would be solved, it would be the most complete 4.1 emulation on the market today.

The graphics card ?? it is not necessary although some aspects should be improved for high resolutions.
Instead a support for working with multiple open programs, this YES
for the rest everything works and also well.
Ok when I see a topic on 4.1 I like to intervene (sorry)
