pcmcia query

hi

im in the process of buying an A1200 with the following installed :

Viper 1230 accelerator with 16mb ram and a 4gb CF

with the 16mb card installed is there any conflict issues with the pcmcia port, ive read somewhere that if theres over 4mb installed, this can cause some issues

thx in advance

having read the stick on CF, am i assuming its with reference to internal cf cards?

with regard to my first query, would it be safe to assume that i can use NOFASTMEM in dh0:system to disable the installed fast memory in order to utilize the pcmcia slot on a temp basis for transfer?

Hi,

It's only the 8mb Cards (24bit Memory space) that have issues with PCMCIA anything above 8mb (16/32/etc) i.e 32bit Memory space, are PCMCIA friendly so you have nothing to worry about with the Viper
