Wanted: 68060 accelerator for Amiga 1200

Hiya,

I'm after an 060 accelerator (preferably Blizzard or perhaps Apollo) to use in an Amiga 1200, mainly so I can test out WHDLoad installs in an 060 environment before releasing them :-)

If anyone has one they're looking to part with I'm interested.

Cheers,

M;.

I am not going to sell it, sorry. (fast CPU + lots of fast RAM is very useful when testing all kinds of weird things..)

Here is one on German Ebay ending today in case you might be interested (no, it's not mine at all)
Check AmiBench once in a while, as sometimes there are some nice offers

If then the auction would be already closed. Thats a bit too much for this card. 180 Pounds would be a good price.

You must check your A1200 motherboard revision. Later models may have problems with a 68060 because they have a timing fault. It can be remedied.

@Keropi

Same here, 1d4 and no problemos with my BPPC
It almost seems like some 1d4 suffered from manufacturing probs instead

I have 3 A1200s, so I'm sure one of them is bound to work : Perhaps this is the same reason I couldn't get an internal Micronik Scandy Scandoubler to work also?

Thanks for the auction link, wizard66! Will see how it goes ;-) In the meantime, if anybody else is looking to part with one, let me know!

Don't know about that, I've got a 1d4 and a internal dce scandoubler and it works ok. Just read a bit of one of those pages and looks like you'll probably be ok anyway.

In general these 1.D.4 & 2.B defects only make themselves felt when the A1200 is expanded by the addition of an '040 (or above) accelerator, high performance IDE hard drive/CDROM subsystems, Zorro slots or I/O expanders (PortPlus etc). Often any one such accessory will work, but two or more will not work in combination. Typical symptoms are an accelerator exhibiting instability problems, a graphics card failing to be recognised or a CDROM failing to show disk icons.
