I got refunded quite immediately as soon as I asked zetro to do so. No worries about the money actually. It's only the project's completion to be in doubt. However, I suppose an update would really be welcome for those that still wait.

Hiyas all,

sorry , I completely missed this thread, over the last couple of weeks I have been reclaiming lost funds on the project. With a heavy heart I have decided to close this project, alas the PCB's I have received are unworkable due to not have a ground plane on the bottom =(

Although I have designed a new PCB I do not have the funds to proceed, nor would it be fair to ask for any more time to do so. Please bare with me I will be putting an order of re-reimbursement and will start repayments next week, I will contact members by email shorty.

Pretty damn gutted I have let you down guys... =(

Hey Mr Zee - no need to refund my contribution, I hope it can help offset some of your losses mate.

Steve.

I don't have words for describing it, but that sucks. You've invested, time, effort, and money in this, and if i understood it right, you licensed a bit of firmware as well as bought a fair bit of hardware?
It sucks to have to give up. I hope you'll consider reviving this project in the future, when the time is right.
B!

What a shame, still never mind - at least you gave it your best shot Zetr0 and I bet you are quite a bit out of pocket yourself as a result.... that's life.

Don't worry about my refund Zetr0 - I agree with Steve.

Thanks again for trying!

Did I mention my A600 is for sale on ebay by the way... :-)

Sorry to hear that ...

If it helps you don´t need to refound me also.

Is it possible that the firmware, PCB Layout and the schematics become public?

Sorry to hear that, not so easy to make an pcb project.

Well, I just wanted to give ZETR0 an HINT:

Can you not paint a groundplane on with conductive paint or use the alfoil style tape?

Seems the whole guildserver.co.uk is out of order.

You guys are awesome, and its very touching, but its not fair that you would be out of pocket!

@loedown

My friend, the board is re-workable within about an hour involving, 30awg jump-wire/conductive strips, however its not fair to sell them like that...

So on a personal level if one wanted to make there own, this PCB with some rework would be possible, but I couldn't in good conscience sell made like that that to anyone LOL.

I will post up a PCB with the rework pointed out to show members what I mean.

I think you sell yourself short fellow follower of the glowing iron tip, hackery tomfoolery and jiggery-pokery are all the things that make the average Amiga user all the more interesting. Not too many of us are for aesthetics regarding something we cannot see

If there is a solution why not offer a kit form to people interested in making these or even a marked down version?

I got a run of 100 boards done in 2006, my first design for a Kraftwerk Led Tie.

Leds have square legs not round and a .48mm square leg doesn't fit into a .5mm round hole, every time I have to make one I have to drill 40 holes with a .7mm drill bit, luckily for me the board is only double sided and not multilayered. Then there's one side of the switch that goes nowhere and forgetting that switches don't have round legs either.

Best laid plans of mice and men, somehow I bet we all feel pretty human.

Something to cheer you up at least, I've got a big grab bag of all sorts of surplus stock here, just need an address.

Hi Zetr0,

To offset some of your losses i would buy a couple of boaards complete with the parts, i don't mind doing the repair, to me its fun. If you are going to sell them, let me know

@Zetr0

Sorry to hear the project has ended in such way.
I was really hoping to have my A600 upgraded, but can you tell
a little more in details of what the problem was ??

I would love to put in some effort into this project to make come alive.
