@Anemos
!!!Awesome Diagram!!! I love a good diagram Recently though its apparent that not all implementations of SCART are carried across europe, as some have discovered lately, so if anyone has trouble getting Anemos's diagram working then consider this as another option.. http://pinouts.ru/VideoCables/AmigaScart_pinout.shtml this particular schematic differes in wiring up the +12volt line requiring a 1 kOhm resistor connected to Pin 8 from the +12 requiring a 150 Ohm resistor connected to pin 16 from the +12 happy hacking |

@Anemos
my friend, theres no need to appologies for your english... mine is perhaps worse and i was born here in the UK LOL!!! Its quite strange though, as the schematics in use differ from not only appliance to appliance but also region to region LOL... so what works in one area on one set of appliances theres no guarante it will work in another appliance let alone another region. Age of the appliance as well as quality seems critical as to what pin out one "can get away with LOL", in all truth i have only just really become aware of this, as i thought that SCART was indeed a standard... lol it turns out, for some manufactures its more of a guidline LOL thats an awesome pinout though! |

VERY OFF TOPIC -
But, I picked up an Archimedes A3000 today off fleabay... And then realised it doesnt have a TV Modulator built in (DOH!). But there are linky's on Google for custom made SCART leads for the Archie... would anyone be willing to cobble one up for me? I'll pay for it! BACK ON TOPIC! |

@Zetro,
If my memory serves me right, The "Standard" originated from France when it was first named PERITEL, as designed to accomodate French Settop "Teletext" decoders as no French TV's used on board Text decoders then. From my days as a TV Design Engineer, The biggest problem was down to the fact that some TV's have a buffered RGB switch that allow for either TV decoded signal in R-G-B format ready for the CRT Drive, the Teletext RGB OR the AV RGB input. Early Panasonic and Sony sets only switched TV & Text, The AV RGB input was actually paralled and not buffered, so impedance was an issue as well as resistance the consequence being that 0.7V RGB was rarely applied to the CRT Drive Circuit, & the Fast Blanking Voltage also varied depending on the Input devices impedence. Nowadays of course with RGB so widely used Most "Quality" Sets are fully buffered. Hope this sheds a bit of light. Cheers Mate |

Check out the Manual, They are dead easy to make, and you wil get a lot of satisfaction too. Unlike the A3010 which can be started in a VGA compatible mode by holding down a key on startup, the A3000 startup is always 15Khz if you don't get a picture when powering up (Custom screenmode stored in CMOS) then hold down R when switching on this will reset the CMOS settings and default to 15Khz. If I remember my A3000 had a 9Pin D-Type Female connector, and you also need a 3.5mm stereo jackplug for the audio. If you need a schem let me know but they easily available on the net. OK Hijack over now |

Here's another one if the above one doesn't work with your TV.
However, the transistor circuit is based on the incorrect assumption that CSYNC is TTL level. It is not, you can hook it directly from the Amiga to the SCART connector. Last edited by Jope; 21 April 2009 at 21:03. |

CSYNC out is TTL. It indicates so in the Amiga Hardware Reference manual. "Unterminated digital level composite sync" It just happens to work with most CRT TV's at too high a voltage. However it can cause problems for some LCD's. Last edited by alexh; 16 July 2009 at 23:29. |
