You don't have the same interface as me ?! Is your network device name different ?! Not using Genesis ?! How did you install your network on Amithlon ? |

Which Ethernet card do you have installed?
Which Network card is shown in the list created with pciinsmod? The error shown in you pics is generated in my cases when I try to install/use a Network card that is not recognised by Amithlon.....you might have the same issue... |

Card type seems supported;
*Intel LAN chips like 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R), Intel PRO/100 like 82801E Ethernet and Intel PRO/1000 PCI-Express Gigabit Ethernet adaptors. https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Aros/User/AmigaLegacy ~ skip down to the Drivers section for details of pciinsmod |

I don't speak English & the Google translation is very bad it's difficult to understand.
Can you explain to me how you went about setting up the network at home on VirtualBox? Greetings |

For pciinsmod.....once in shell just type pciinsmod (you will probably have to type first also 'stack 50000' probably) and you should receive a list of installed/detected boards.... If you are using Kernel4.....have you installed the correct drivers for this Kernel? |

It looks like your installed drivers are not for the Kernel version that you are using.
You cannot mix the drivers between the Kernels....e.g. drivers for Kernel 3 don't work with Kernel 4... Can you copy here the string that you call with the Loadlin command? |

OK...now we know why it doesn't work...
![]() Try using the Kernel3 (kern310) and install ONLY the drivers for Kernel3! I would recommend to follow SnkBitten's manual where he covers the Kernel3 installation.....use his settings for the small file with Kernel3!....leavepages has a different value! To avoid issues with the already installed drivers I suggest to create a new partition and reinstall everything as per SnkBitten's manual (following ONLY the parts for Kernel3! I guess you've installed on your present partition the drivers for Kernel4 (?)...so you could try running Kernel4....but you need to change the small file as per the manual that you mentioned in you first post...and make sure to copy the line as per the manual!...as the setting are different for Kernel4 than the ones used for the original Kernel (emubox.gz) or Kernel3!! |

I used the aithlon & small files which are on the CD-ROM I simply edited them (as said in my first message) following the tutorial I mentioned. Concerning the drivers I have not installed any the only things I have installed are patches. Can you explain to me in more detail how to do this ? Thank you greetings ! |

OK....let's try with Kernel3....
First get all the manuals from SnkBitten regarding the Amithlon installation...they always come handy! Do you have the Kernel3 files (kern310 file of the kernel itself and the drivers for it...called drivers090.zip or something)? The kern310 file should be on you PC DOS partition together with the original kernel file called emubox.gz! If missing then follow the link provided in SnkBitten's manuals and download/install it. Once you have this you can create a new 'small' file....e.g. 'small3'....then edit this new file and replace the 'emubox.gz' with 'kern310' (or whatever name the main Kernel3 file will have)....pls ckeck the manuals as I think some other thing in this file might need to be changed when using different kernel files..... Then try to run it with 'loadlin @small3' and see how far it goes..... ![]() |
