The problem is the bad crack, not the image of disk 3.

The game works but I need to do the 680x0 fixes and I also need to code a new trainer menu. I already wrote here in the thread that it may take a while.

Sorry for bumping this thread, but I was wondering if there was any recent news regarding this new crack-to-be?

I could've tried to look at the loader issue myself, but... y'know.... Twiddy loader = poor frazzled brain of mine. >.< He must've coded this and Aladdin differently to the two Samurai titles and Global Gladiators since those didn't need the loader replacing.

As I already wrote in this thread, the crack is finished, trainers too (did them at last years Buenzli party) but the 680x0 fixes are still missing and I didn't get around to coding a new trainer menu yet either.

Any progress Stingy? Frode would like to add a proper ADF version to the FS-UAE database.

Didn't work again on this after Buenzli 2011 so the 680x0 fixes are still missing. I will most probably finish it next winter.

OK, good to know. So we leave it out for now in the database.

This is maybe slightly off topic but did anyone create a new crack for Aladdin?

I've read on other threads that this game is problematic and isn't very good crack, There are even problems with floppy drives that don't have the nRDY signal?

The only one I can find is the [PDY] version which has been giving me problems on a real Amiga, The loading stops shortly after it asks for Disk 2 with the screen going black and white.

I have Cool Spot +6 by DELIGHT and it never crashed when loading 'Toying Around' using the level skip on my A1200? Had to disable CPU caches to get it to recognise disk swaps but other than that plays fine on my A1200.

Also, does this game choose random levels after the first level 'Shell Shock' as using the level skip it seemed to load different levels each time?

Level skipped a game and these were the levels it loaded:

Shell Shock - Disk 1
Pier Pressure - Disk 2
Toying Around - Disk 3
Loco Motive - Disk 3
Dock And Roll - Disk 2
Bonus Game - Disk 2
Bonus Game - Disk 3

However, after level skipping Bonus Game - Disk 3 it says 'Level Completed' then asks for Disk 1 and then doesn't load it, just shows a message "No memory left for request..." Not sure how the bonus games should work but level skipping them might have broke the game?

Looks like only Disk 1 has been cracked be Delight [cr DLT]

Unless the other two are missing from the TOSEC?

I guess the problem with Disk 3 would still happen if you played through the game normally with Disk 2 and 3 from Prodigy [cr PDY] in conjunction with Disk 1 from Delight [cr DLT]

Reading the thread it appears the crash is in WinUAE, tried it myself with the disks I have and it does crash when loading Toying Around from Disk 3, even using 'Cycle Exact' and the default A500 config!

Tried it on my A500 1.3 1MB as well and no crash loading Toying Around, so a strange issue when running under WinUAE.
