Can I disable Nedopc A600 8MB fastram ?
The problem is that as it is (8MB) the PCMCIA slot does not work unless I remove the ram expansion which is not practical at all.
I was wondering if there is a way I can disable it through software for whenever I need to use the PCMCIA slot. Specs: A600 HD with Kickstart 3.1, 2MB Chipram (through trapdoor expansion) and Nedopc 8MB 2007 model expansion which does not have jumper config. |

It depends on the revision, the latest I believe has jumpers for 4mb/5.5mb and 8mb like Kipper expansion. (5.5mb is still PCMCIA friendly)
If it's the older one (2007 IIRC) you are stuck at 8mb unless you remove it totally. |

Yes its the 2007 model. No Jumpers.
I heard that the CPLD can be reprogrammed to 4MB. I have no idea how to do that nor do i have a programmer or the firmware. Is it possible that it can be reprogrammed to only address 4MB and if so who would be able to do this for me ? I don't need 8MB. |
