Impressive 3D Engine! Too bad that it never had been used.
I like the water effect. And you can really see far, not like "Fears" where you don't see a wall until you stand right in front of it. The engine is so colorful too and runs pretty fast! |

In the PC release I never found it too impressive, the turning angle is so weirdly wide and turning is done so slow, I always get disoriented while playing it. I'd have been happier if the game was just completely topdown view.
What impressed me most was the sound design, the world sounds so alive it's amazing. |

Albion is one of only a handful of PC games I own.
I was going to see how OpenAlbion was doing, I think it's a way off being playable. https://github.com/csinkers/ualbion For Windows users (who want to play without using DosBox) you can try https://github.com/M-HT/SR It's only £2.49 on GoG.com too! Last edited by alexh; 09 June 2020 at 21:36. |

Hey alexh,
You haven't hosted the bare-bones / self-booting .HDF that I created on your website Don't worry, no KS ROMs inside or Workbench installed... Obviously you don't have to though |

SRW seems not works with current GOG's Albion version (i'll investigate another day but main data file seems renamed as game.GOG) Last edited by CFou!; 10 June 2020 at 18:04. |

The file "game.GOG" is a CD image in BIN format. When you edit setup.ini try a relative path if it doesn't work for you. To run with a bigger window or full screen edit Albion.cfg (p.s. I had issues running full screen from my laptop) |
