Made it to the 3rd boss, but looking at map - how do I get the power diamond in level 1? Am i supposed to collect some hi-jump powerup in a later level and return to the 1st one?

you get a pair of hi-jump boots after beating Phantom in one of the terminal rooms (same way you get power punch needed to knock down the stone walls).

Btw, I have a serious case of stuck-itis, need a key to access my final level (3rd tube from left) and can't find it anywhere in level 1, 2, 4, 5 or 6.
I have collected 5 diamonds so far.

Is it possible to use the keys "unwisely" ?

Just starting level 4

...but have to admit that I'm slightly cheating i.e. using "Save States" via WinUAE

I'm now up to level 6; I have opened all 6 tubes from the start screen:

The key you're missing for the 3rd tube should be in level 1 or 2; I did each tube sequentially.

I currently have 4 x "Control Diamonds"; unless there are two in level 6 then I'm also in trouble

I don't think so; surely the available "Access Keys" are for unlocking each of the tubes.

I'll answer my own question; Yes, it is possible.

In my first playthrough, for reasons unknown, I waited to open 3rd tube until last, unfortunately I'd used all my keys to open tubes on levels 1,2,4,5,6 which left me with nothing for 3rd, or final, level in my case.

So started from scratch, didn't open the in-level tubes until I made sure all six levels were unlocked and accessible.

Which resulted in this:

I might have missed something though, I assume "Robot Control" could be "OK" too.

Wow, that was quick! How long does it take to complete the game (if you know where to go and what to do)?

Yes, the length of a game would be nice to know, and would this otherwise be suitable for a competition game? For example, will there be difference in points or is it too easy to play a perfect game? Or can you leech points somewhere?

I haven't finished it as yet; at the start of level 6 but I would guess I've been playing for roughly 3 or so hours.

Not sure if it would suit the competition as I think anyone that finishes this would have virtually the same score. There is no way to leech points.

Damn it, as I suspected... just killed the level 6 boss and picked up the "Control Diamond".

I only have 5 so have missed one on a level; no idea which though

I've also picked up a total of 4 x ? / Mystery items...

ROBOT CONTROL: FAIL
...and your score is slightly greater than mine

I wish the title of this thread had a "spoiler alert" or something, not everyone wants to know details ahead of time. Came here for tips but just found the spoilers

Bit late for you unfortunately Puggsy, but thread title updated

...but I don't think too many details have been given away i.e. there's no details on where you find the various "Control Diamonds" / power ups or any strategy tips on how to beat the various bosses etc.

Flashtro released a couple trainers done by musashi9 for the two new RGCD games.
http://flashtro.com/

Damien, could you give them a spin ?
Although the instructions are pretty clear and straightforward I can't get them work.
Tiger Claw zip seems to be missing a file though (trainer.annatar).

Indeed there are issues with both Flashtro trainer archives

Powerglove Reloaded:

For some reason, after doing the process specified to disk and rebooting; you get "Unknown command flashtro".

If you manually type "flashtro" and then "tr.annatar" then all is good though...

I fixed this and applied to the disk by just creating a new "S/Startup-Sequence" and typing in those two lines manually.

Note #1: there's something wrong with the "Powerboots" trainer; you can't change direction in the air like you can in the original game once acquired.

Note #2: "Powerboots" and "Powercharge" are included in the trainer; what happened to first upgrade you get from "Phantom" i.e. "Powershot"?

Tiger Claw:

As you say the file "trainer.annatar" is missing from the provided archive...

Tried running "flashtro" and then "tigerclaw go" but doesn't work so I guess we need musashi9 to provide the missing file.

Anyway, I'll PM musashi9 and point him to this thread

Both trainer files should be fixed now
Powershot is activated when you select power charge option
Power Jump can now move side to side

Tiger claw trainer file is now included in the zip

Definitely not in the old trainer; just tested again to be sure:

Trainer (all options selected):

Powercharge active / working:

Normal shots; so no Powershot active:

...compare with my screenshot in post#17 showing Powershot active.

Plus it would be good to have separate options for each upgrade if possible?

I couldn't resist testing before going to sleep

Confirmed that these are now working:
  • Powerboots: can now move / change direction while activated.
  • Powercharge: also now activates Powershot.
Cheers musashi9
