difference between directx 9 and ( 11 hardware )
There are many posts on the forum
I had read that with the latest released version of winuae the directx 11 could only be enabled by editing the configuration file, probably I'm wrong but I can no longer find the post where it was discussed. At the moment I can choose both directx 9 and also 11 with hardware acceleration from the control panel. what differences are there between the two versions? Thanks for any suggestion. |

D3D11 has been GUI option at least for 2 years.
Main difference between D3D11 and D3D9: D3D11 is Windows built-in in later Windows versions, no need for ancient D3D9 redistributable. D3D11 (DXGI) also has better support for refresh rate handling, vsync etc. |

Toni,
thanks for the reply, (I probably read an old post) with the 3.xx when i open the windows, i clearly see the screen continuously updating vertically and you can clearly see the "pixel" going down to update the screen, this does not create any problem for the emulation. It is simply an optical, but real effect, the screen is continuously updated by moving the "pixel" from time to time. I had solved this problem by staring at the screen. But I no longer remember how I did it, and I no longer have the configuration set correctly. Which options could I use, Thanks. |
