Kixx XL Amiga games

Putting together a Kixx XL Amiga poster, so far have confirmed 61 Amiga titles, but according the Kixx XL brochure that was put out, a few more games may have come out on the Amiga, these are;

Flight Simulator II
FSII - Scenery Collection
The Black Cauldron

I can't find evidence of any of them on any format atm, would appreciate if anyone had any idea or had seen of them on the Kixx XL label on the Amiga (or PC would be still nice to know), cheers.

Thanks, but that is still no more proof as you linked the Kixx brochure i got the info from, and no game dump on ST or Amiga as of yet to confirm.

Interesting that the Kixx XL dump of Black Cauldron is missing from Atarimania. Didn't check explicitly for FS2.

That catalog came out 1994 -- https://mocagh.org/sierra/kixx-94catalog.pdf

They were acquired by Eidos in 1996 -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Gold

Regarding the titles cited;

Flight Simulator II
FSII - Scenery Collection
The Black Cauldron

FSII and scenery collection is not even listed ; The Black Cauldron price is T.B.A

Further, if you look at the copyright information;

None of these titles are listed, nor the developer 'Sublogic' responsible for the Amiga cut of Flight Simulator II .... possibly the reality is...

Another perhaps clue, is the catalog citing Amiga magazine reviews for some... but nowhere near all ... titles being promoted, and The Black Cauldron has not graphical entry at all...

For mine, all these breadcrumbs possibly suggest this was a 'speculative' catalog of existing & future titles, the U.S. Gold company planned to release under the Kixx XL branding, but the then (pending) acquisition by Eidos and other corporate meanderings, suggests they weren't flush with cash, and perhaps securing the rights to market The Black Cauldron fell through, and they may have become 'technically insolvent' ..."some time after the date of that catalog publication" ... and these future planned releases was never realized (like so many other things at the time).

I'd of course be happy to be proven wrong, but all the available evidence tends to point to my surmise above...

Not all XL titles are listed on that compatibility list, the FS titles are listed in the pages prior, so imo that’s not indicative evidence shifting either way.

But yes there is every chance these ‘may’ have been planned and not got around to being released (as with other games on the Kixx label i.e Hammerfist etc) i just wanted to ask if anyone has seen evidence of any of them on any format to double check, but 30 years on it’s not a quick answer, especially late releases on labels tend to have a smaller run than earlier ones, so for now i’ll probably get around to making the poster with the evidence of games i have and i can always update it later if evidence of these other games turns up.

Yep it's the same catalogue, we just need to establish it they were actually released or stalled at the planning stage.
