p96 new res rough guide (with radeon install)

Hi guys here is a picasso 96 guide for making new screenmodes

pics taken with my galaxy s ii (not the best)

for this im using a voodoo3 2000 in a a1200 mediator v1
but should work with any pci p96 rtg capable card and any monitor

but need to test on my 9250 radeon

also a note from fitzsteve
One thing for P96 RTG users to be careful of, most (if not all) Zorro RTG cards won't be able to do 1600x1200 @24bit so make sure you are within the spec of your card when making screen modes!

With help taken from here thanks guys

I think no Zorro card can do 1600x1200x24 - BVPPC/CVPPC/Voodoo etc. needed.

I was referring to EGS drivers, the worst RTG driver system ever created, my friend.

I think this program must be supplied with Windows Vista or Win Millenium, they share the same level of fail!

Thumbs up

@ johnim

after many years of setting up my 1200 Tower I still come back to this thread to remind me of how to get my Mediator and Radeon 9250 playing nice on newly installed HD with the newly updated OS3.1.4 so thanks yet again John
