Playing CD32 games on A4000
Hello,
I got some CD32 games but haven't that console. I'd like to play they on my Amiga 4000/40 but some of those doesn't works I taken a look at the directories on a PC and seen the following: playable games have C and S folders + some files and gamename.info file in the root; they works fine unplayable games have only C , S and a strange square icon folders; in the S folder I seen startup-sequence file, C folder contains setpatch + other files and strange square icon folder contains the game files (like levels, gamename ...) but gamename.info is not present so I cannot start it. Well, how to launch those unplayable games? Many thanks |

What games are you trying to run?
Have you tried the WHDload Preinstalled versions http://www.whdownload.com/games.php?...hButton=Search |

Yes Execute Cd0:S/Startup-Sequence
I cant check the games now - But will after Work There are extra tools to help run CD32 games - IDEFix CD32 emu -Squirrel CD32 Emu - If games use the Rob N Loader they wont work. :Or open the Startup-Sequence with a text editor to see what file is the main executable. |

In which case, if you have the RAM, you may as well use WHDLoad

Well, finally I found the solution, I'm using the CD32 EMU from IDEFIX'97 and works fine... but not with all games... WORMS, PIERRE LE CHEF and CANNON FODDER doesn't works, the system freezes and reboot.
I'm using apollo 3040 with 68040 @ 40mhz + 64 MB ram for a total of 79MB ram available |

Edit the Startup-Sequence of the Boot disk to point to your ISO of Microcosm or whatever game ISO. Last edited by Retro1234; 08 October 2009 at 11:44. |
