SnowBros! (ADF that works)

I tried the ADF from Galahad and it does not work right, after you die and you try to play it hangs on black screen. Looking for a working set.

If I got it correctly from that other thread, you got these issues on the REAL thing, right?

No the IPF works fine, its the two disk ADF crack from flashtro.com that does not seem to work after you die. On a real Amiga 500 1MB yes.

There are 2 Flashtro trained Disk 1 versions, you didn't mention which one you used. Second, I tried my version on a real A500 KS1.3 and it worked after I died. You need to provide more info if you want a different "working" ADF as mine worked.

Hmm how do I tell which one I have? Its just a flashtro intro and the game loads. You know after the into how the screen goes red? You have to enter disk 2 at this point. Do I have to insert disk one after game loads or something? I tried it and it still did not work. I also tried it in PAL and NTSC and it did not work either. Can you up your working version in the Zone again? I tried it on three different A500's and it does the same thing! Thanks bro.

OK here is the deal. You have to die and go to the high score table for the game to not restart. If I play a level or two and do not get a high enough score the game works and restarts just fine. (I thought I got it working until I played it again and went further into it) If I enter a name and go to restart the screen stays black with the top part of screen flashing.

Maybe you should PM -Rob- or Demoniac about it...

I think demoniac is talking about the version he added NTSC suppport to. It's -Rob-'s Snow Bros with NTSC added and maybe updated trainer (well at least I think so, I haven't tried it yet)...

Maybe demoniac can clarify

Anyway, it's in The Zone! again

Edit: Here are the CRCs...

Code:
SnowBros_d1.adf CRC 55CD9CD5
SnowBros_d2.adf CRC B257173D

Thanks for the clarification. I'm dealing w/ HDD issues at home, so I'm unable to look at this anytime soon. I have a feeling that it might not be a trainer issue, which is what I worked on. Maybe you can experiment some more for us. First, try the IPF version and see if you can get it to hang with the same conditions. Then, try the trained version that has my name in the credits, don't enable any trainer options, and see if it hangs (it probably will). Afterwards, let us know. I'll contact the other people who worked on the cracking aspects of the game, and see what they say.

Try the Disk1 in the zone (continue to use your old disk2)
HiScore saving to disk has been removed (i should've done this in the first place)
Let me know how it works for you

ok great, i think its best to leave HS saving out on all the 2 disk releases?
hmmm i'm not even sure how many of them there are :P
can someone please upload disk1 of each flashtro release so i can patch it (or we just settle on 1 flashtro version and stick to that - which i think is best)

in the meantime i will try as Galahad suggested and redirect the saving and loading. Now that we know the problem we are half way towards fixing it

Uploading the following to The Zone! now in a file called SnowBros_[Flashtro].rar:

Snow Bros [cr Flashtro].zip: The 2 Disk ADF version of Snow Bros, cracked by Flashtro...
SnowBros+.zip: Snow Bros. +7 by -Rob-. Updated trainer by demoniac...
SnowBros+_ADF_[-Rob-].zip: With +3 trainer, runs on plain or memory expanded A500 systems... by -Rob-
