Disposable Hero
Developer is "Boys Without Brains". It was developed for Euphoria, not really by Euphoria. The CD32 version was released in 1994.

Wrong
"Boys without brains" was later renamed into "Euphoria". They developed for Gremlin Interactive.
I can post a Dutch article in which Euphoria were interviewed. Here they state they started as "Boys without Brains" on the C64. |

Wrong ? I don't think so...
The intro says "Gremlin Graphics and Euphoria presents a Boys Without Brains Production". Where's the sense behind that if your statement is correct ? |

Maybe that they wanted to partially keep their old name?
Always nice to see a new game developed by someone you knew for good games earlier isn't it? |

Don't get me wrong but if the game says "a Boys Without Brains Production" then this is what it is...
Maybe they have written games under the name "Boys Without Brains" and published games (later) under the name "Euphoria". Who knows... and who cares ? You could also say that the developer/publisher of "Maniac Mansion" for example should be LucasArts instead of Lucasfilm, because that's their current name. But HOL should show the name of the company like it was called at that time. |

I know that, but Disposable Hero is an Amiga-only game. It's not a conversion...

Apart from conversions, there are also mistakes in game intros with games originally developed on Amiga...and about 1,000 spelling errors to begin with (at least )

Maybe I can post the article?
Hmm, maybe it is a good thing for the general 'Amiga-artefacts delving' community that I post the 4-page interview with Euphoria.
The article states how they met, which previous games they published, how they managed to program the shmup, found a publisher and why they never considered to release it on PC. However, the article is written in Dutch. I don't have the time to translate it to English. |

Dutch (*written*!) is almost like German. *Spoken* is another story, though |

I'll post it next week
I have to dig in my pile of Amiga mags at my parents' house to find the Euphoria-interview. Expect the scanned interview in The Zone somewhere next week.
Feel free to translate it to German, Englisch or whatever. |

Despite of that "Boys Without Brains" thing, can someone please change the release date of the CD32 version to 1994 ?

Okay, I've read the interview. My Dutch isn't perfect but from what I've read so far, Euphoria is the name of the whole company, whereas "Boys Without Brains" refers to the (or some) programmers only.
