Lightbulb Magnum 1240 (FPU/MMU) - 32MB

Just wondering what price people would be willing to pay for a Magnum 1240/25 board with full MMU and FPU and 32MB of 60ns FastRAM. Also has the header for an optional SCSI-II module.

Has worked flawlessly since I got it (and still does now, even on 1.D4 timing issue motherboards).

That sounds low for a UK sale, and stupidly low for a US sale. Anyone else?

Would it work in a desktop A1200, or does the machine need to be towered?

It fits in a standard A1200 through the trapdoor slot.

Reason I'm asking is that since 040s usually generate a lot of heat, sometimes they'd be prone to overheating when used in standard desktop A1200s. I remember than Blizzard '040 boards (among others) carried a warning that this could occur.

I think I saw a warning somewhere at some point, but never had any problems when it was trapdoored.

Going by the fact I got £40 a while ago for an 030 with 8meg id take a guess at around the £100 mark, prices on ebay seem to be dropping dramatically! Descent Blizzard boards at the begining of last year were going for up to £200, now you can pick up the same thing for around £100!

Id say your board is worth a nice round £100, just my oppinion though so probarbly very wrong!!
