Istanbul Efsaneleri - Lale Savascilari
I searched for Turkish games, and this one is listed twice, once as Istanbul Efsaneleri - Lale Savascilari and then Ýstanbul Efsaneleri - Lale Savaþçýlarý. Second one is the proper name but requires turkish encoding on your browser so first one might be preferred instead (but is not %100 correct). In the original name, the letters i s and c have/don't have dots on top of/below them and that's the only difference.

The actual game is only in the database once. When a game has alternate titles, it will come up when you search for each name, but the information listing is identical. I believe for the Turkish characters, I either copied/pasted from the binary of the disks or from one of the Turkish sites that contained info from the game, not sure.
If you can paste in the correct title here with proper chars, I'll make the update. |

Maybe it'll be best to remain it this way then but here's the correct title. I'm not sure how it's displayed on other people's browsers so it's an image.

It seems the English charset converts to those chars or something, as it looks the same as what I have in the database. If the text above looks right in that charset, then it should be that way in HOL, as well.

Well I agree with Burseg - we *must* keep the original Turkish encoding, otherwise foreign visitors have to "guess" the Latin transcription of the foreign word, which turns out not to be successful every time.
@Twist: It works! I opened a new window with HOL, changed IE character encoding to "Turkish" in BOTH windows and then cut-and-pasted the correct Turkish name from this EAB thread into the HOL search field in the "new" window. It worked ... Turkish entry came up. You merely have to consider that the encoding of the source must match exactly with the encoding of the destination.
