Finally Cracked Level 100 of Warblade!

After a few weeks of getting to level 95, 96 and 97, I finally made it to level 100 today of Warblade! Finished on level 197 but very happy. What a brilliant game and it's a shame that Edgar is no longer with us.

Now to get back to Deluxe Galaga and get to level 75.

Congrats! It's a brilliant game indeed, I've played it on and off for years. Just recently got to level 594 on Normal mode. This became a bit boring since Normal mode games are no longer quick games. Decided to try the Ace mode, and so far I've gotten to level 76. Definitely more challenging

The most important Ace mode lesson is to never be under a meanie, ever, since they will shoot you.

Maybe that's because you designed some of the levels - the fiendish ones no doubt and that must have take a good few hours of your life?

It is a tad annoying to pick up a single shot into the 90s when you have the war plasma...grrrr.

One of my favorite games of all time though.

For an arcade-based game, I played Defender (1982) on the Atari 8-Bit back in the 1980s, in two marathon sessions that lasted a few hours each:

On one session, I played so much that I went to Wave 99 and remained there for the rest of the time.

On another session, I scored so many points that the score reset itself to 0.

On the easiest difficulty, of course.
