Not as far as I know. Amigastore are offering it as a courtesy for people who bought the CD. The goal of the CD release is to encourage people to support the resellers. I expect there will be a digital only option from Hyperion at some point.

Just buy it and ignore the CD when it comes

Pretty cool this release made to the front page of Hacker News:

https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=27158277

but .. the comments section makes for an interesting read and leaves me with mixed emotions. Is it true that Hyperion blocked Cloanto's effort to make things open source?
Now they want make it open source because Hyperion is selling their update. Why they didn't do this earlier?

@ 3.2 devs: I had snoopdos open and noticed that whenever anything opens an intuition window, there's a failed attempt to load cybergraphics.library (I don't have cybergfx installed, or indeed, p96). Is this expected? Can I turn it off somehow?

Basically I went to to my account, looked up the order history and clicked on the order. When I opened it up there was the CD and the ROMs but also now a digital link:

"AmigaOS3.2_digital_download Download product AmigaOS 3.2 Digital Download (after order & payment)"

clicked on that and down it came. If you are not seeing it, suggest you mail amigastore.eu

A silly question perhaps, but does AmigaOS 3.2 exceed the feature set offered by AmigaOS 3.9, or is it an evolutionary catch up since 3.9 isn't being sold and supported anymore?

I will.
Can you post a screenshot so I can see where to look exactly?

Ok, I received my AmigaOS 3.2 CD three days ago and managed to install from scratch under WinUAE: thank you devs!
Product registration on Hyperion website is not active, as you can't select AmigaOS 3.2 as a product to register: is this ok?
Ciao!

@boemann Can I ask what you are using for a C development environment ? I've been using bebbo's amiga-gcc toolchain on my mac, which is fine for 3.x / NDK3.9 projects. If I wanted to try switching to the 3.2NDK, I'd need something else.

What are you folks using to build AmigaOS itself ? Are you developing directly on Amigas or in a cross-compiler ?

I know someone who uses bebbo's gcc just fine with the new NDK. The proto files should work.

AmigaOS is built using SAS/C and yes we build it natively

If you don't see it available send them a message from within your order and they will update it to include the download.

Thanks again Alan.

Ordered mine Tuesday. Just went to see if there is a digital download available and saw this:

"The shipment of AmigaOS 3.2 has been delayed in route and both Hyperion and Amiga On The Lake are working to rectify the situation. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the delay."

Good news for us in Norway; www.retroservice.no will take pre-orders now and according to their site they should have it in stock now, but they don't. It cost's 399 Nkr for the CD-Rom and you can pay by Card or PayPal.

Received my CD from Relec!! I have to say after thorough testing over the weekend that the new 3.2 is amazing, SUPER stable, fast and it has got lots and lots of new features. Well done once again to everyone involved in it!! I use it to make my own hand made 3.2 distro (super stable, compatible with anything i tried, doesnt need many patches since many things are done nativelly now). Also used it with AmikitXE!! The best combination OS & Amikit for me so far since i have tried all previous amiga OS's and almost all had something. Another observation is that Peter K latest 51.4 icon.library makes the installation fly.

You can use the latest 51.4 on your self-made distro, but AmiKit XE is not supported anymore!
