As I don't have an icon; stack would be set as whatever is default i.e. 8192 for ClassicWB.

I then played around with 10000, and then 100000.

My .HDF now works with your configuration Carlo and a stack of 100000 set

Carlo, I'm just about finished setting this game up to exactly how I want

Regarding AHI settings, what have you found best?

Currently I have:

... Paula:Fast 14 bit stereo++ calibrated
... Frequency = 22050 Hz
... Channels = 4

I tried 8 channels but sounded the same...

Edit: I also tried "Paula:HiFi 14 bit stereo++ calibrated" but sounded the same to me.

On RTG systems I use AHI v6.7 and UAE 16 bit HiFi Stereo ++ (see screenshot) and on music you can hear the difference

HERE are some patches that should improve the game also graphically but I think they apply on the PC executable

Heart of Darkness also works on AROS 68k but there are some graphic artifacts and some colors missing

Can I use that on a standard OS 3.1 install though?

To be honest, the sound is only crackly in the intro parts. The in game is fine.

Yes AHI.device and AHI-Handler 6.x Work well with OS 3.1, AHI Prefs 6,x requires MUI installation.

It's probably my old laptop; as I'm noticing the CPU slightly go over 100% quite frequently, and this is when there are audio issues as expected...

I have an old Dual-Core PC of 10 years ago, in my opinion the difference is the quality Video Card and Sound Card and a good OS Amiga well updated.

It's only slight crackling sometimes in the intro when the CPU goes over 100%... not a big deal.

My old "Acer Aspire 5951G / i5-2410M" laptop specs are here.

The OS is just a standard WB 3.1 install on FFS, with AHI + Picasso96 + RTG Master and Heart of Darkness.

I might try installing on PFS3AIO to see if it helps

EDIT: The game does run notably better when using AmigaOS4 with its 68k emulation on my BlizzPPC 175. Although I have no cd32 pad support and Keyboard controls dont seem to work right. (I cant run and jump for instance Shift+G while holding right arrow.

Installing on PFS3AIO file system made no difference... must be my old laptop.

Set channels to 1 (that is 1 stereo channel all 15 of the games channel will be mixed into.

Removed bogus frame borders and optimised a bit more.
