Verge World - new voxel-based game in development
I've seen the news about this game popping up here and there but couldn't find anything on EAB. So far it's just a "tech demo", but it's a welcome change from the usual 2D fare. I've always had a weak spot for voxels (think Commanche & Outcast :) so I'm quite curious about it. It does look rather interesting (especially if they can make it work on A500, as promised).

I mean the whole 'flying down a canyon' thing. Mind you I was never really sure what was going on so I just blew planets up at random

New Amiga game, VergeWorld: Icarus is coming!
Hi all!
Just want to mention we're making this new Amiga game, called VergeWorld: Icarus, a sci-fi shoot'em up/ racer in which you are a smuggler piloting an aircraft on a distant, desert planet ruled by a tyrannical corporation. This is just the tip of an iceberg, as we have very rich lore and cool gameplay ideas. The game is in development, but we got some recognition so far. Well, if you're interested I'm going to post the updates, with the first one being the gameplay from A3000. The game will be able to run on A500 and A1200 as well, and I will post more gameplay videos in the future. We hope to finish the demo version available to download by the end of March, so keep your fingers crossed! Video in the link below! Hi all, I've uploaded the gameplay from Amiga 500 recently and thought it would be good to share it with you. Share your thoughts, please.

Looks amazing - is it possible to make the distance more visible? some of the scenery appears to pop into existence out of nowhere rather quickly. I realise there's a performance penalty for showing further back but it would enhance playability for those of us with slow reactions!

I remember you saying on reddit that gameplay won't be open world (no surprises, given platform limitations), just corridors leading to "junctions". Any more details you could share? Will there be anything to shoot?

We plan on creating this large map covered with the canyons, in which you'll fly. Upon reaching the junction point you'll choose which route you'll fly next, with ability to fly back to the point you came from. And yes, there will be plenty to shoot
