OK, adding onto my 1701 monitor (this time with an Amiga connection).
I finally got a DCTV RGB converter. (What is that? You ask. er.. you didn't ask? Too bad, I'm telling you anyway!) Basically, a few months ago, I got a DCTV, which I'd never had before. 24-bit color for my Amiga. But when I got it (I didn't really know anything about it other than it was 24-bit color for the Amiga), I thought it was broken at first. Then I found out, it outputs 24-bit color, but not through the RGB port. It outputs 24-bit color through a composite output. Hmmm.. So you would need 2 monitors (or an RGB with a composite input also and toggle). Still 24-bit color, but a tad awkward.. Then I did some googling and found that Digital Creations had a solution! They had the DCTV RGB converter, which would allow you to see the DCTV images thru the RGB port as well!!! Great!, except I figure the odds are really low of finding one of those... DCTV's I see from time to time, but the converter? Well, found one and it showed up today and works as planned... So, my monstrosity now is: Amiga RGB port with DCTV pluged in. And into that is the DCTV converter. (But my 1084 has my A1200 currently, so...) Into THAT, I have my Amigamaniac Amiga-svideo converter (also has composite). And, from THAT, I am going composite into the 1701 monitor!!! Finally got the floppies setup to display a picture, YEAY!!!!! Now all I need is an s-video split cable (s-video to 2RCAs), and I can hook all this stuff up to my A1000 and the chroma/luma on the 1084S I have. (I want both my Amigas (the 1200 and the 1000, the 500 is for moving around and testing) attached to the 1084S and the 1701 will be for the C64/Vic-20. Whew.. Weird, but I'm happy about it!!! Also got a VecMulti (Micro SD flash cart for my Vectrex today, but no Micro SD card to test it with)... Good day!! desiv |

For NZ$10.50, got 2 x Amiga 500's, (although only one seems to be fully working), 20mb A590, 2 x Speedking joysticks, 2 x mice, monitor, (Philips based I think), external floppy, auto joystick/mouse switcher, and a few boxes of floppies.

Pre-ordered the Back to the Future episodic games from Telltale.
Also bought Sam & Max season 3 from Telltale as well... even though I hear they're extremely easy. |

I would love a big box Amiga, I have absolutely no room but then logic does not apply when collecting hardware right? I say go for it for fitzsteve. You could then become the official Amiga museum

Not updated this post in ages!
Ok so not today but recently I have bought: (last few days) An A3640 which I'm having upgraded to 33mhz A 33mhz 040 CPU for the above A dust cover for my A1200T A brand new Disk Storage box for my new Floppy's (bought a lot of original games unboxed) A 6 button Mini Megadrive Pad (very good for the Amiga's) Hmmm, maybe more stuff since I'm an Amiga Shopaholic... Hey BrooksterMax, I just saw your post, no way can I buy anymore big box Amiga's, Mrs Fitz has been very tolerant but anymore and I'd be eating my balls for Chrismas Dinner LOL |

Did you buy it local?? I'd seen tons of these with phoenix boards in the late 90's when I lived in Adelaide, you think I can find one now???
I remember going into Phoenix at Keswick and seeing a huge bin full of original A1000 boards for sale that they pulled to fit Phoenix boards. I'd love to know how many of the remade boards they sold. I'm chasing the 1000 and an SX-64 and then maybe I'll stop... Quote:
How much was this? I'd not heard of it before, googling gave me some info but not a price... My vectrex needs more games. |

Not for me, but for Mrs Fitz - bought a DSTWO Flash Cart for her DS, the old trusty Supercard CF we've been using has stopped being supported and the new games don't work.
The DSTWO looks awesome though and can do emulation and all sorts, £31 inc priority P&P + 4gb MicroSDHC and Flashing/Update service Bargain! |
