Yes, since even the ADF present in TOSEC is knackered, i will check at first the kind of shit it's using, physical protection or anything related.

bare with me on this one....
13 years ago i worked in a small privately owned game shop, i worked there for 7 years... when i got new games in from suppliers and the public i opened the case and stuck a sticker on the barcode which advertised the shop... yesterday, i bought micromachine v3 on psone from a charity shop, across the barcode was a sticker... strange huh? i have wipeout 2097, which i bought from my own shop, i have never sold it, even when i sold my original psx, i kept it and a memory card (with my save game) i went to ECTS (computer show like e3 but much smaller) in London when it was released, i entered a wipeout 2097 compo, they used the demo level from official playstation magazine (which i had played a bit), i came 2nd across all 3 days, the guy that came first was a "friend" of one of the developers, which i later found out! i got a lousy t-shirt instead of a limited edition psx, custom wipeout machine |

Alexh, have you some experience in repairing Xbox 360s?
Some days ago my brother's Xbox died after his 2-years old son "played" with it: he repeatedly (and quickly) switched it on and off and so on SEVERAL times. After that, the Xbox shows the 3 red lights (the red circle of death) . Is there something he can do? P.S. The Xbox doesn't display anything at all on the attached TV, and the error code (obtained by pressing the buttons in a certain order and seeing how the lights behave) is 0-1-0-2 ("Unknown problem"). The warranty period was extended to 3 years after purchase date for all xbox 360's and they are known to repair for free 360's outside that date which have confirmed 3-light RRD.
Try to get it fixed for free. I think you've got a 100% chance if it was manufactured after 2007. Less than 10% if it was 2005. I have no experience fixing them but I have knowledge of the XCLAMP addon and I have access to a BGA re-work station to reflow the solder on the main chip. |
