Hi everyone from Technomancer
Hi everyone,
Let me please introduce myself... I sort of new to Amiga scene ;-) since I was active on PC demo scene in Poland in 90s, but I had friends with Amigas. My fave game is Battle Squadron with two players/two mice! Some of my old stuff (PC): https://www.pouet.net/groups.php?which=3129 https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=16937 https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=3984 All I did on Amiga back in the day was a scroller running purely on CPU. I do love 68K assembly, so easy and regular. My stable:
My use for Amiga is to give my 6yo kid proper education in gaming, demo scene and module music. I need to get rid of Blizzard PPC because I have completely no use for it so it is wasted on me, it also has BVision which I didn't even attempt to get working and I have Terriblefire coming in the mail anyway. I live in SF Bay area. Does anyone know about any mouse adapters that do not lag? How about the optical conversions for old mice? Do they read movement in mickeys from the sensor and convert them to pulses or do they do pulses directly? Because Lemmings or Battle Squadron suck badly with a laggy mouse. Is there any good C toolchain running natively on Amiga with headers and libs for AmigaOS? And if I wanted to get TCP/IP stack up. I guess AmiTCP is the way, but where do I get license? I have Netgear MA401 (purchased new in Fry's in the olden times) so I guess I can rock it on Wifi network ;-) |
